U can tell from the start of the interview, Will was a bit scared (for lack of a better word). Seeing him more open and chill as it progressed is a great testament to how good of an interviewer u r Chris :)

Takeaways from this amazing interview: 1. Will Ospreay is a super humble guy to think that he's not the same caliber as John Cena or Rey Mysterio Jr. 2. Will Ospreay is a really nice person because of how much he cares about his fans and their opinions of him. 3. That a lot more people in US need to learn who his man is if they haven't already! I love Will so much has turned into my favorite wrestler to watch on a consistent basis and great he has that closer Irish connection as well mentioned OTT at the start. Hopefully we'll be back to normal soon !

England has some badass wrestlers Ospreay and PAC are easily some of the best in the world
Weird trivia. There was a dude in NWA Wildside (where AJ Styles, homicide, Jimmy rave, etc came up) named Seth Delay who would do basically a 630 shooting star press called the delayed reaction where he’d land in a back senton. Closest I’ve ever seen in ring to a double. Wildside was very influential in early ROH/TNA and never gets credit for just how insanely ahead of their time they were.
Will was the one guy from the "flippy shit" era that actually impressed me. Very talented guy

Will Vs. Punk is not off the card now. All In London would be the ideal place for these 2 styles, generation for generation and country vs. Country. AEW and NJPW are such good friends it would just make sense. I think it would be something the UK, Irish and European fans need in our lives. Skyrocket AEW and NJPW to the moon and make them the big guys.

I love the riccochet osprey match but osprey being introspective about it is cool as hell. I love old flippy osprey he was great. That said 2019 osprey who still did acrobatic feats but added psychology and some stiff power shots is one of the best wrestlers in the world. He was phenomenal at what he did and added some more conservative elements in wrestling and hes even better now.
The beautiful spirit of pro wrestling was front and center in this interview. Everything that is great about this thing just shined here.

I love that Will's taste in Pro Wrestling completely mirrors my own too.
I've been blessed to be able to watch New Japan each time they've come to the SF Bay Area the past few years....and in November I remember being a bit buzzed and telling everyone in my section how Ospreay was 2019 Wrestler of the year haha.
That match with Okada during the G1 was my match of the year as well.
As soon as I saw this on my youtube thing the moment I wasn't busy, I immediately went onto it because I love listening to your podcast and I love Will Ospreay, and it was the best of both worlds I feel! Keep up the good work with what your doing.

you learn how a person really is during hard times. When this all started Ospreay was like support indies and let me do a show and we will split everything evenly even though he was the biggest star on the show.
Seth on the other hand when everyone got released was like sucks to be them support wwe yall its not their fault. They need to maximize profits.

This was a bloody fantastic interview.
I know it's one of those silly things where you end up thinking "well of course he would", but I love how he was willing to talk about how much he's enjoying AEW. With all the background noise between NJPW and AEW, and knowing WWE wrestlers wouldn't be allowed to, it's just nice to see. No hard feelings, super supportive.
I can't wait for the day we get some real crossover events, and not just NJ, but NWA, and RoH also.
