  • Infusions are a great way to stock out our cabinet. Today I am making a super fast herbal tea infusion.
The cool thing is you can make these with vodka or everclear. So even if distilling is illegal where you live you can get in on the action!

when you made the hibiscus infused vodka, you inspired me to make some raspberry tea Rum and peppermint tea Rum which was AMAZING after 24hours, i just added 1 tablespoon of golden syrup with 250ml of my "un-labled" Rum per tea bag and you done! :) thank you man, your channel is legendary!

Yeah, i made it mainly for making mint+choc shots for Christmas but ended up drinking it on its own, i used a 2-1 ratio of Billingtons molasses (uk) & granulated sugar and its turned out to be a really clean white rum....on my third attempt anyway haha! the tails can be umm....quite strong lol

+Dan Barber mint white rum......that sounds awesome!
Remind me of this when I get around to making rum!! I will need to try this for sure.

Im a novice (12 months) and been having LOTS of fun trying lots of spices and kitchen ingredients, in a 40% white spirit.
Things tried are, cinnamon stick, whole freshly crushed, whole cardamon, dried mandarin peel, dried dates-(thats was gluggy!!!) dried thyme, freshly grated mace (incredible!!!) chopped muscatels (AMAZING!!!), dried and crushed juniper berries...the list goes on and on......stacks of tiny jars, with crap in!!! (labeled with dates, quantities, of course). Herbal teas like chamomile, and natural liquorice flavours have been great. (The latter makes a mean Sambuca liqueur) My aim was to make as many various liqueurs as possible-my shelf is chocka block with drinkable cocktail varieties that are copies of, or just plain off the wall originals- like a spirit based lime/mint mojito mix!!!!
I love your videos. they have a happy richness that is honest and real. keep recording your experiences!!!!

Still It....when there's a glut of fresh fruit, I make an infusion. Only one item per jar. Then I use them in blends, jams, cocktails or as a weird liqueur. Super fun!!!! Herbal tinctures too-cos I'm a naturopath. (Made to a proper recipe 1:1 blah blah blah)

Will have to give this a try! I made a fruit infusion with store bought vodka through the fall and the resulting liqueur is so tasty!
I've got a favourite gingerbread spice tea that I added to a mulled apple cider at Christmas, and I bet it would make a tasty infusion. Very cool! Thanks!

I know I'm late. But look into Nelson's tea "really root beer" tea. It is root beer without the sugar. Might make a great infusion or flavor to add to a thumper.

I infused an organic vodka with cinnamon Apple spice tea by celestial seasonings. 750ml, 6 tea bags in a 64oz Mason jar, about 8-10 hours. Came out really good.

Take a liter of you favourite high proof liquor.
Go into your garden and collect some rosemary sage and mint.
Fill a jar with your fresh herbs. Add for each liter a teaspoon of sugar.
Pour liquor in until all the herbs are submerged.
Plastic bag and then close it off.
Shake every couple days. And let it sit for a month or longer.
    Enjoy😊

Note you will get better results if you steep in hot water for 15 to 30 secconds first to hydrate the tea and dont leave too long!

Any idea which healtheries tea this one actually was? Or what the ingredients were? Just trying healtheries Sleep Chamomile and Passionflower and getting green definitely not the nice pink your seeing. The red green teas seem to be Rose, strawberry, raspberry and maybe blueberry green teas, or maybe tropical. What is your best guess?

    • @StillIt
      @StillIt  6 років тому

+dmoorhou hmmmm. I guess the lable that was on the tea bag didnt actually say the type of tea.
Seemed like a berry flavour to me man. Could be blueberry.
