As a retired US Navy I can attest that there is nothing that compares to sailing the high seas at night with billions of stars above, tranquil and peaceful. I can relive countless times that I have navigated the South China Sea going north towards Subic Bay staring at distant lights of islands we pass by. Crew members are so excited to be at Subic once again even more so for me and my fellow Filipino shipmates.
Can't even watch. Got to where you were patting Jake and my eyes welled up. So unbelievable. So happy for you and Sherylyn. What you two have gone through over the last three years and most recently breaks everyone's heart so this is such a great moment for you Finn . Been watching you for so long can't remember ,maybe 7 years now, before the School. If I was half the man you are I would be twice the man I am today. My first voyage, to earn my ASA captain’s license was from Santa Cruz, Ca to Monterey, Ca, across the Monterey Bay and at night. Best of luck to you and your shipmates, on your journey.
