She's giving her motive in this clip. She resents Ed for being a doctor when she couldn't be one. It's a dumb motive and there's some revisionist history going on (which was Long's style) with Ed suddenly coming from money. He didn't at all.
Was this Charlotte just on long enough to be killed off? Richard Van Vleet's very underrated as Ed, and he does strong work here. Barbara Garrick is also strong. It's too bad the story feels so plot-driven and rushed.

Why did Charlotte dislike Ed? I don't remember this storyline at all and can't recall her motives for her vendetta against Ed.
