Dear Aspirants,
Please check out this video regarding preparation for SSC Stenographer 2024 Skill Test to understand how to increase speed from 60/70 WPM to 90/100WPM.
This can be very helpful for those aspirants who are facing difficulty to increase their speed in shorthand and preparing for the upcoming SSC Stenographer Skill Test.
Please go through each and every step as has been dictated in the video.
Remember, this will be helpful only when you follow all the steps religiously.
Here are the following steps which have been mentioned in the video:
Step 1. Complete your basic Pitman Shorthand book first (at least complete it till the Advanced Phraseography chapter)
Step 2: Increase the speed steadily. That means, if you are at a speed of 60 wpm now, increase it at the rate of 5wpm in every 15 days. Remember, it's more about accuracy than speed.
Step 3: Regarding those who ask whether they should use pencil or pen. At the stage when you are preparing for the exam and you are able to write @ 70 or 80 wpm, please use only pencil. Only when you start writing @100+ wpm, you may switch over to pen.
Step 4: Regarding other resources for practicing shorthand, i would suggest you to use President's speeches/Progressive Magazines, but only when you have completed at least 10 Kailash Chandra magazines.
Step 5: Please, please and please type (transcribe) whatever you have written. Don't ignore typing.
Step 6: Keep up with having a separate copy for write phrases (advanced phrases). Remember, speed can only be increase when you use advanced phrases.
Step 7: Try to make the strokes as small as possible (to the extent you are able to read it)
Step 8: Divide the page into two equal halves while doing shorthand (please understand the concept of muscle memory in the video)

Sir meri speed 65WPM hai seen matters mein aur main abhi din ka 1 dictation hi le paa raha hoon because of the pre exam but almost 1 mahina hone aaya meri 65WPM ki mistakes 10%-9% se kam nahi ho rahi (mostly because of the punctuations) aur 70WPM pe bhi try kiya hai maine with (15-16% mistakes) So what should I do? Aap to bol rahe hai ki 15 din mein speed change karo +5 aur yaha mahina hone aaya.

Bhaiya may abhi KC vol.2 kar raha hu aur meri speed 80wpm hai unseen likhna start Kar diya hai menay but dictaion latay time bahut se words ki outline miss ho ja rahi hai but seen may aysi koi problem nahi a rahi hai 😢

start with small dictations,
prefer doing a few seen ones before starting unseen

number of transcriptions doesnt matter much
try to complete one transcription properly as of now
after written exam, you may increase the frequency as per your compatibility

seen dictations are those where you are already familiar with the passage, i.e., you read the passage for once and then take the dictation of the same
Unseen dictations are those where you are not familiar with the passage
Grade C k liye eligible hu me, 80 ki speed seen matter ache se kr leta hu, unseen me tayein tayein fish ho jati hai meri. Words bhi batao konse words must prepare kre grade c liye legal words.

it depends on you, if you have just completed your basic and started doing magazines, you are required to give sufficient time to your skill preparation otherwise you wont be able to manage it till the skill test
