Omg. If it's really true that SJK file a divorce without discussing it with SHK, then thats just so wrong in so many ways. He asked her to marry him, and spend the rest of their life together. Marriage is not easy, and it will never be. Even if they are having problems, divorce is something that both of the person in the related should TALK ABOUT. I can't judge them tho, because nobody will never know what really happened. But if this rumors are true, I feel bad for SHK. She deserves a man who will stay with her for better or for worse. SJK's father was right in admitting that the divorce was SJK's and his fault, and not of SHK as what the haters created in their maliscious rumors and gossip. Woe to them who have bad intentions to innocent SHK. Anyway, truth will be revealed at the end and justice will be served to those guilty.
I pray that people will now stop digging up past topics of the divorce. It was done and finished for more than 3 years ago. Each has now living a separate lives and SHK is focused on her career and is not hankering on her lost love. You prefer your children to be unhappy with people you think are the best for them or to be with their soulmate ? That's ridiculous. If you say «all that's important is that you're happy and healthy» but then you start adding conditions like : the woman to be younger, to be rich or prettier. It's just toxic. Parents play a big role in marriages, esp some cultures. I once dated a man whom I loved deeply, son of our family friends, even vacationed with them. His mother began to introduce me as his fiance while abroad. We lived in different US states and he told me that it would kill his mother if he ever moved from nearby area from his parents (even for his residency, let alone permanent job). Around the same time she told me (verbatim) on a call that she would personally take me ring shopping for ANY ring I wanted and, she added, it's not as if I 'had any reason to stay' where I lived. (He and I were almost 30, both with careers and many friends, my parents were on my coast, not across the country where they lived). It broke my heart , but I could not have 3 people in our marital bed and ended the relationship not long after that call. She never even considered my parents' distance because it was assumed that I would drop all and move. Not one thought to people she's known for 40 years? The girl he married a couple years later was a daughter of his parents' friends, lived in same city, mother picked out the ring and his parents bought their 1st house (a $1.5m mansion in Tx and decorated it in a taste of parents, not my ex's). Mother controlled all. Still does. His father walked out on her after 35 years of marriage to get free.

Maybe it was better that she let him go even though she loved him a lot. It is difficult to live with a man who could not put you as his first priority. His decision is always controlled by parents or his family. As a married man, he has now to leave his family and live and be one with his wife. I think the reason of their divorce is family relationship. In-laws could possibly be the reason. In Korean culture they are conservative in which younger men marrying older women is not acceptable in the family especially on the man’s mom point of view. Cheating is one. Probably the husband started it all with his close friend, Kim Ok Bin gifts posted on social media if, i am the wife i would think of it too. Temptations is just around the corner. If Hye Kyo will fall in love then its her right they were separated months before the divorce. Something is wrong with the guy. Drinking habits is also one. Gambling is another. Dig up on the husband side too not only on the wife’s side of fault.
Another reason could be their religion. SHK is Christian her Christian denomination actually frowns on divorce. For her it would have been devastating.

2. I WATCHED SOME DRAMAS ABOUT THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY, ALTHOUGH THAT THAT'S IN THE DRAMA ARE NOT ALL TRUE BUT PART OF THEM DEFINITELY TRUE. SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE PART IN HURTING OTHERS ACCIDENTALLY,
DO NOT WRITE BAD COMMENTS WITHOUT BASIS AND PROOF. BECAUSE WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED BETWEEN THEM. SO DON'T JUDGE THEM FROM OUTSIDE.

My mother and father was broke up and they dont regret it because they have different personalities and characteristic, they want to be happy instead of arguing, saying bad thing together and ofcource the worst thing is our dad cheat and mean that he is happier with his new family , they dicided to separate because they need it,but they dont think that there children can affect their unhappy relationship.
Praying for Hye Kyo. I am just sad because he tried to protect Hye Kyo with the rumors that might taint her image during the time of their rumored trip in Bali but now Hye Kyo's name has been tainted and all her endorsements/ads were affected. She has been in the business for decades. I pray and hope that she remain strong.
Honestly, they were adorable together but maybe they rushed too quickly for marriage and things got bad, communication got worse. Love fell out and divorcing was the only way out.
Its possible, I married my husband one year after dating, and we were met with many downfalls and arguments on the daily. Our marriage fell out tbh. And we decided to start out small again and gradually climb our way back up to each other again.
Here we are now with a 3 month old baby. It takes one person to have to not give up and the other to still have hope.

In FYM video it was stated that SJK filed for divorce because the surname of SHK and SJK was the same SONG so their marriage was illegal because marriage of 2 people with the same surname is illegal so not allowed. In another video it was stated that the reason for the divorce was difference in birth plans. SJK liked to have a baby now but SHK does not want yet for she has had to follow the contract signed for the completion of her modeling and product endorsement and the completion of the drama she had contracted should be finished first.
