Not to say I dislike the vocals, but I REALLY didn't picture that chorus with cleans, so listening to this version after hearing the guitar playthrough, has me thinking I prefer the no vox version. I personally feel the soft majestic chorus melody would have sounded great behind the juxtaposition of intense screaming..That's just my personal opinion though. No disrespect intended. That said, the cleans closer to the end at the ambient part, I wouldn't change.
You guys have struck a great balance between soft and heavy here. Really digging it. 🤘

Cost me a shedload but well worth it! I'm a big believer in buying psyical copies and going to concerts to support my favourite bands 😁👍👍

@@Breakdowner90 Hey, thanks for being cool with my criticism! I play songs from every one of your albums everyday when when I'm working up on cell towers. Not the only time, sometimes I just sit with my eyes closed and jam to different tracks of yours, sometimes to the point of goosebumps. When YOU create music that moves people in that way, it raises our expectations and desires when new music is released. A good and bad thing I guess. Im sure this album will have some of those for me!

Today, I've listened to it 8 times! Twice just now. I hear Gift of Life @1:30. I hear YOU GUYS. I do. Its great! It took a bit cuz its different. I want to tell you, I really like this now. It took a bit, a couple times listening a little more open minded. Its great, it really is. And after I finish this comment, I'm going to listen again. Thank you. I mean it. I needed this. Very satisfying. Can't wait for the full album.
This is such a fantastic album (with Lightbringers and especially Shanghai Nights being highlights) and it’s critically underrated! What I like here is that while there is a deep sense of continuity with Melodic Death Metal influenced by Melodic Metalcore, there’s such a nice blend of peripheral influences as well that make this track and others stand out. While your epic compatriots Soilwork good more into progressive territory, Dreamshade approaches with a deeper pop-rock driven sensibility. Now that sensibility is delivered in a layered and technically savvy way, the combo of which forces these tracks to be stuck in one’s head for days! Well, I must say Dreamshade is truly a joy to get stuck in one’s head! 💙

To me, this actually sounds like a mix of your two previous albums, and it's an absolute yes. You guys have your own personality, uniqueness, and ability to mash styles up, and that's what I like. Metalcore/Melodic Death with a touch of proggy stuff, and a lot of alternative metal/rock ... Much love from France ! This CD will be mine next to the others.
