I feel the double kick is a little off beat....I recommend doing heel toe (double stroke) to save your feet the trouble. Just 2 beats per foot.

It's an old video. I use a lot of double strokes now, but I still like to play doubles stokes only if the original drummer used it. Try to watch my more recent video. I'm a lot cleanner now !
