Loved the effect that the transparent paper gave to the composition. In general, i learned to have more courage to take risks in my collages. Happy I found you!
I did the red/green/not-too-xmasy grid page "with" you last year and it turned out to be one of my favourite spreads in that journal all year. Thanks for the new inspiration here. As soon as I can get out of bed from this cough etc I'll get right to it! Thanks also for the year of great content. Merry Christmas to you and your families, Jackie🎄🎁⛄🎀😊
It was so fun to watch the flow of your choices on this, Jackie! So pretty, vibrant, and balanced. But the 'best green bean sidedish' comment had me howling!!😅😅😅 Thanks for making 2023 so fun!! Happy New Year ❤
@@jackieschomburgart I'm so glad you saw and accepted my comment in the light I it was intended. As soon as I clicked 'post,' I was like, you know, some thoughts are better left in your head ;-) Wising you a fantastic 2024!
Oh yay, that big green fabric swoosh made me so happy when you finally settled on where it was to go! I found myself saying no, no, not there...yes, that's the right spot! Too fun, thanks for sharing your not so christmasy, complimentary color challenge!
Nailed it! Thanks so much for the super tutorial - I’ve got a square journal with iffy paper which would be good to use for this technique. Thanks for the inspiration!
Merry Christmas. Introducing the variety of greens and other colours worked really well to de-Christmas the piece. I have a few magazines which I've made the mistake of saving till I have a use for the actual image. Your video has inspired me to look at the pages differently and maybe use them for colours or shapes. An idea or thought came to me which I think I will try. I wonder if having a connecting line or colour joining the boxes would work. So it would in effect weave its way out of one box and into the next. 🤔
Love your red/green collage challenge! I really enjoy the grid journal process and have varied the shapes including circles and rectangles. Sometimes I'll choose a favorite from a series and try to enlarge the concept.
So beautiful! I like how you did a larger one on the left in conjuction with the 9 grid on the 2nd page. What a great idea and they all turned out beautiful!
Thanks for the continuous inspiration Jackie -- hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday (and lovely to see your daughter is learning so early to do collage)! ❤💚
I lost the whole Christmas feel about 1/3 in and from there everything came together beautifully. That said I will admit I've decided that red and green together don't do it for me... LOL!!!
The colors remind me of different types of apples!
I see it! 🍎🍏🍎🍏🍎
💯💯💯💯💯 love doing mini projects 💐💐💐💐
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I love how you filmed it then sped it up and spoke over it. It’s great to hear you describe your process.
So glad your enjoyed it! ❤️❤️❤️
Just love these colors & patterns together❣️.
Thank you so much! ❤️

Amazing and very freeing! Thanks for sharing your talent! I am an inexperienced one!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Fun challenge! My favorite is the top left square, the one with the bit that my brain has interpreted as the 'holiday noose' 😉
😳😳😳🤣🤣🤣 Whoa, calling it Holiday Noose makes this tiny collage pack a HUGE punch - who says tiny art can’t be powerful? 🤣

Interesting that the digonal you say you don't like working with (center bottom row) ends up getting almost completely obscured.
Good observation - I guess I really didn’t like it 😆❤️
