Excellent choice! As the owner of a B9 SQ, I would come over to the dark side before buying another one. I don't dislike the car, but agree that BMW just does it better. Sadly....
First (I’m not)
I didn’t like the HUD on my X3, but it has grown on me. I miss it when I drive my Tahoe.
Oh and the navigation on the HUD is super nice
It’s a shame Audi is driving customers to beamers. Audi fan here looking for a 335d
I love my Durango!!! What about the Acura MDX A-Spec? That was my other choice but the V8 in the Dodge is what won me!
I respect the BMWs as they can be extremely fast but not a fan of them. I hope you enjoy and love it. I'll still watch the content on the BMW tho😁

I shopped the x3 m40i against a b9 sq5 but ended up going with a 2019 Q7 due to space, but if it weren't for space i would've gone x3 over sq5. love the look of these
Dope this was one of my choices vs f90 ,(g30 m550,2020) went with the m550 1.5 years later i am not mad at all enjoy it bro
CraY part is I know the exact dealership you talking about and was looking at the very same x3 M but due to their reputation I passed. I'm still looking for my X3M Comp...congrats on your new ride. Please let me know how it is as I'm in the market as well.
Nice pick up dude. I was expecting the x3m40i not an x3m. Done a few rolls against these things and they rip with basic mods!

You need to swap the diff bolt on that thing asap. I wouldn't do any tuning until you've looked at it. There are some guys selling bushings or reinforced bolts nowadays I'd look into it you plan to tune. The diff bolt is the single biggest fail point for tuned x3m's

no comp pack = better ride! would love to hear your thoughts on this vs comp. I have personally taken a comp on multiple road trips and man is it stiff! This is coming from someone who daily drives an e36 m3 on coilovers

Did the stud conversion to the s6 and it was great. No complaints for doing the swap.. I bought the raceline kit from USP.
Also you’re in a different situation because you have the rare spare tire so you’re not on run flats. The X3m’s on run flats are terrible vs ours.
I’m on the hunt for the facelift of the x3mC (can’t forget the C) lol but my exterior color choices are marina bay blue, Brooklyn grey, Toronto red all with black interior can’t have the sakhir orange I can’t stand it but my favorite color is the marina bay blue I went to see one and fell in love with it hopefully the right one comes up for sale soon. Congrats on your purchase man enjoy it
I found you when I had my B8.5 SQ5 and followed your builds since. I debated on upgrading to a B9 SQ5 but ended up going with the X3M. Just way more vehicle

I'd be interested to know more or see a video regarding long term reliability and running costs. I've still got my C7.5 S6 that I got around the time you initially had yours. I'm probably keeping it forever, but it's now far from stock and absolutely chewing through consumables. This looks like a great option for a daily.

What about compared to when you had the c7.5 S6, I got my S6 almost 2 years ago with 14k miles, at 26.5k now, no real complaints being DS1 stage 2 pretty much the whole time of ownership, was looking at a X3M/X4M when I was shopping around though
They’re completely different cars and I think (as of right now) I liked the S6 better

Coming from a BMW service advisor. These things chew up tires. Like less than 8k miles on a full set. Rear tends to wear much quicker than fronts FYI. Good luck and sick M!

Should have driven it with the stock tires. Wasn’t a fan but with the tire upgrade you did, it drives much better. 👌🏾 Stud kit is always a must btw.

How do you decide how many miles is okay? 77xxx miles on a 2020 is more than 10k a year and Ive always tried to stay at or below 10k a year. Are newer cars better at that higher mileage per year?
Does anybody drive less than 10k a year? Lol. I do like 15-20 a year in my car.
@@IgnitionTube I guess work from home folks. It was just always my rule of thumb when looking for a car growing up. Is there a line you draw for yearly miles? or are there other things that you take into consideration when it comes to higher mileage on cars? like documented service history or anything like that?

Congrats on the car! As a current C7 A6 owner, I keep debating whether I want to get a B9 S5 or a G20 M340i. The B58 engine is wonderful and sounds great, but the S5 sportback wins in the looks categories and the interior IMO. I'll probably decide in the next 6 years when the prices depreciate as those M340i's are holding their value very well.

Super cool. I was actually in a parking garage today and I was staring at one, I said damn even the interior is nice so it’s funny that you picked one up. I drove the X3M competition when it first came out and I did think the ride was a bit harsh trying to be too much like a sports car but maybe the non-competition is where it’s at. Overall, we went with the Macon turbo, and I’ve been happy with that choice. But I have to say these still do look very appealing. Did you ever think about going Porsche? I feel like you’ve said this before but you hate Porsche or something like that is that true?
