Siamangs are so cool! It's always a treat to see them sing at any zoo.

Aren’t they just senselessly screaming and yelling at each other?

@@PJB-ks9vn That's a great question. Siamangs vocalize to establish their territory or to restablish family bonds. I saw siamangs do this at ZooTampa and the Nashville Zoo.

As a child and young lady, I've been to this zoo many times. It is impeccable. I loved the Nocturnal house. I got to see them feed the vampire bats. Too cool! If you guys ever get a chance to go to this zoo, there are many wonderful animals to see.
Love the song of the Siamangs. If anyone has been to that exhibit, are there only the two or are there more of them?

I really need to get up to Ohio and visit one of these days. It'd be so cool to hear these guys in person.

In my head I can still hear my first gibbon song at the San Diego Zoo in the mid 50s! 🎶 It will be in there and in my heart too till I expire💚 One of the best sounds of life😊

Fascinating! I wasn’t aware of this species. So very cool! I love how one starts to speed up and the other follows suit.

Some sleep their lives away, and others get up early, so they can catch worms or afford happy hour! A few, wake the rest of us up!!!
