It was good to be at OCBF yesterday with one of my sons. I always enjoy visiting OCBF & truly love the teaching of Pastor Evans. He has & will continue to be instrumental in my walk with Christ. The Lord has used Pastor Evan’s teaching in my life for many many years. I don’t have the opportunity to visit very often but I know our Sovereign Lord wanted me at OCBF yesterday. 🙏🏻God is good all the time. Pastor said this was something that happened Years ago in which He didn't make "A GODLY DECISION" something he's held onto for some time. Now he's confessing whatever it was (we don't know how serious it was) and is stepping away for healing and restoration. This is not an attack of the enemy against our Pastor.

He did really push too far on the name it claim it doctrine! You have to ask God’s permission and make sure you are praying in his will before having full faith, he won’t just give you literally ANYTHING you pray for. This sermon contradicts Tony’s sermon from the week before on the same topic which was much better.

I didn’t attended in service yesterday but I didn’t join online.:.. and to find out via social media that Dr. Evans has stepped down is disappointing. As a member for over 8 years I do believe we should have been notified via mail/ email. Praying for Dr. Evans but as a church this should have been handled better than it was.
Cmon now. I'm not a member but it takes a lot of boldness and honor to stand at the pulpit in front of thousands of people and confess that you messed up. If you weren't there respectfully, that's on you

I understand where you're coming from but I'm sure they figured a direct address would be better than sending an email. If you break up with someone, doing it via text is a lot less honorable than facing someone and delivering that news in person. It's very easy for people to hide behind a keyboard but your pastor cared enough to talk to you (the congregation) directly and it took a lot of courage to do so.

We are talking about communication and transparency. Period.
