This was clutch! Still unbelievable that 3 years later,, they haven't added parental controls to block specific apps! Thanks to you, my 4 year old has seen his last Evil Daddy Roblox video
Remember to do this to the internet app as well. My son still had access to UA-cam through the internet app. And may God help us with our kids. Thank you for the video!!!
OMG finally and thank you! I've had an issue with UA-cam and it changing to inappropriate stuff if the kids left it running a long time so I've been trying to find a way to block it on just their firestick. The pin on launch was not an option as I'd have to enter a pin every 45 minutes when they changed what they were watching. Also awesome to give credit to your source!
This is the greatest thing ever. This kid will try to find a work around constantly for UA-cam. I even hid the appstore but he will end up finding the 1 and only place it can be accessed. Thank!
OMGGG!!! Thank you so much. I watch UA-cam and it’s great but my 6yr old son has recently learned some none choice words from some youtubers who review the games that he loves so much. This is a lifesaver!
I’ve been trying to figure this out forever!! My 4 year would start watching the gaming videos and the stuff that would pop up was so disturbing! I’m so glad I am finally able to delete it without her being to just hit the download button! Thank you!
I can NOT Thank you enough for this! I couldn't understand why one TV allowed an app launch but the second wouldn't. Having to enter the pin every time became foreboding in less than 24 hours but turning parental control off was the last thing I wanted to do also! So many of you with your videos have helped me in so many things that endless Google searches have resulted in nothing!
Thank you so much! I have been able to disable UA-cam on every device except fire stick. This has been so helpful. I told my kid that it has a glitch and idk what's happening. Anything to keep them safe and limit screen time.
TYVM! To you and the original creator! I was so tired of UNINSTALLING YT on my son's Firestick TV! I have YT Kids on there be he learned to RE-INSTALL it and just like someone else mentioned, I don't want a PIN enabled for him to open up certain apps as I have the Viewing Restrictions Enabled! This makes it so much easier!! Thank you sooo much!! Whew!!! 😰
Your video was great! Thank you for helping me solve the UA-cam issue with my kid. All I really wanted was to pin protect it on a fire stick to open the app but sadly it isn’t set up to do a specific app. Thank you again and keep at it
Thank you so much!! I couldn't figure it for the life of my how my 3 and 5 year olds kept downloading UA-cam without a pin. I uninstall it constantly. This was so helpful! I just have one question, once I delete th app from my account entirely, I won't be able to use it on my TV, correct? We all have Fire TVs, so I'm assuming if I reinstalled it on my TV it will allow my kids to then reinstall it on theirs as well. Is that correct?
Do you have an updated version of this? The newer menus are different. Plus I don't want to delete apps, I want to set a pin for an individual app. Like UA-cam. I want to keep it on my firestick but want to restrict it for my child. How can I set individual pins for individual apps?
@@Hindsight101 Really looking forward to this video! I watch youtube extensively for learning/tutorials, so I just want to pin protect it so my child doesn't get exposed to all the horrible content that's targeted at children these days. Thanks so much my daughter has had such a horrible attitude out of nowhere i she kept downloading UA-cam when I deleted now with this method she can’t thank you too man 🤙
Thanks, this works for me on firestick 4k 2nd gen. Deleting the app from amazon and syncing is essential. Otherwise parental control (pin prompt) does not appear.
Hi, this video helped me a lot, but I have a question. Is there any workaround or a way to prevent savvy kids from creating a new profile on the firestick account, which basically bypasses all the parental controls that you may have set up on the main account/profile? Thank you for all your help and videos!
Thank you for this will do it . One more question how to stop or make timer on VOD TV series on IPTV ? I keep saying my son stop scroll tv series cartoon and watch live TV it's annoying me because is exactly same like UA-cam
Here with you! Can’t believe this is not an option. I’m all for content visibility as a parent ... but I’m sure as hell not allowing my young ones access to things like UA-cam. FireStick, as well as other streaming services, is starting to suck without a governance model above it.
little late to the game, but quick question. I have a VRBO and want to allow youtubeTV but block netflix, do i have to delete netflix then and re-dowload everytime I want to use it? Also, do you think it's safe for me to leave my youtube TV signed in for guests to use? thanks in advance
Yes you would have to re download it. It's safe as long as you are ok with people seeing what you watch. Also if they watch stuff your not interested you will start seeing that content because they watched it under your account
Here's something I hope the administrator or someone here can help me with. How do you know what numbers you are choosing in the navigation circle above the home key? Is there a way to force my kids to just use their fire stick "kids profile? Whats the point of parental controls when the kid can just use the main profile or can add new profile? Thanks
So what you have to do is make sure every time you walk away from your fire stick it's set to your kids profile because their profile is locked down. But if you walk away and yours is up they can watch whatever they want
Check this out my 4 year old says last night. “ my mast the TV(tell A vision) tells me to do bad things even when I want to do good things.” So we will no longer have youtube at our house I wish I could make the app go away from all of the recommendations to?? Can I??
Question... we currently have 4 firesticks in our house.. one in each living room, one in mine and my husbands bedroom, and one in our kitchen. I think you may be confused with the fire tablet. On the tablet you can install an app blocker. And for youtube it would use youtube kids app instead of the regular youtube app

But what if i want youtube installed on fire stick and still block it and still allow other apps? Are there anyways to block specific apps. The above solution showed...in this case if i want to block youtube i will have to install it everytime and delete and repeat the same process. Is that correct?
That is correct and as of now there is no way to do what you want. The only solution Amazon gives is there parental control option for kids call "FreeTime". Its a separate profile for kids and you decide what apps there are allowed to see. But it only works on firesticks and not fire tvs.
Thanks for watching and subscribing.
I wish Amazon allowed us to define which apps required a pin to launch.
Fingers crossed
So true
Thanks! Finally no more learning of bad habits from UA-cam.
