Ep.11 - Point Perpendicular and Honeymoon Bay

Welcome everyone to a belated Armchair Adventure. I've had some trying weeks due to a hard drive failure of 22Tb of drive space! This inevitably affected my ability to create these videos, but it's all sorted out now. Our destination this week is the Beecroft Weapons Range home to some amazing landscape including Point Perpendicular and Honeymoon Bay. you're not allowed to fly a drone in there it's illegal it's a no fly zone for drones just so you know in the future you wouldn't want to get fined

Ah - thought you might be talking about that. Your information is only partially accurate - the restricted airspace is not active at weekends - although obviously you need to check the NOTAMs to ensure that is the case. Whenever I flew there it was during those hours when the airspace was not active. The app you listed only shows areas of restricted airspace, not whether they are active or not, for that you need to use an app like AvPlan EFB. Hope this helps.
