Yes, SJK is an arrogant narcissist, with big ego. Joong Ki is talented. He doesn’t need her careerwise. Even before Descendants of the Sun, he had acclaimed performances in Innocent Man, Werewolf Boy, Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Tree with Deep Roots cameo too, he was acting next to veteran actors yet his performances never drowned against them. Just because he lacked the international popularity before DOTS doesnt mean he doesn’t have a career.
I honestly think Jang Ki Young has any romantic feelings for Song Hye Kyo. They were just paired in a romance drama. That's it. In all practicality & sensibility, JKY is at an age where he knows there's so much the world can offer him in terms of career, money and women. He is good looking, talented and has a promising future. SHK is more than 10 yrs. older and is a divorcee from a whirlwind marriage that didn't even last a couple of years.
