I love ghost ship. Its amazing
I watched just the opening scene just now. It was amazing. How is the rest of it? Worth finishing?
@@tomleonard830honestly? No. The rest of the movie is a complete letdown.
The Hunt isn’t terrible. Betty Gilpin is a force in that movie
This movie makes the worst mistake Hunger Games made. They massacred most of the characters at the start and the rest of the movie was painfully boring. Also they took Emma Roberts to waste her character in the first minutes of the movie? Whaaat?
Like FFS did anyone exept me even watched the original Japanese Battle Royale Movie? Just do the same thing!
@@Talsedoom that’s the twist. The characters you expect to be the heroes aren’t.
Yes, I couldn't agree more. She was fantastic in that. I loved that scene with the cigarettes. You F'ed up biiiitch! 😂😂
I was surprised at how good it was! The final woman, total badass!
Excuse me? The 1980’s blob is AMAZING. The hell you talking about, What Culture?
Watch Keanu Reeve's Constantine. Sure it isn't accurate to the DC comics but Keanu Reeves as Constantine is like John Wick with mystic powers.
Love Keanu Reeves' Constantine! When you take it as its own thing or as an alternate universe, it's genuinely fun, stylish, interesting and spooky. Need more movies like it.
it only took three other attempts at faithful adaptations to get to this point
I really liked it! I also liked the 1 season of Constantine and was sad that it didn't get more, it was terrific! You are absolutely right, they can be separate and good as different universe things.
The Blob (88) slaps hard. It's the third of the unholy triumvirate of 80s horror remakes "better" than the original. The other two are The Thing and The Fly. It totally makes the grade of 80s remakes.
Congo - There is one line from this movie that is forever burned into my brain: "STOP EATING MY SESAME CAKE!" I hear it whenever I see anything with sesame seeds. :)
Its the repetition, he even makea them take some cake. But he says banana cake at the start. Tim curry picks up the wrong cake from the table lol. ' Stop eating my seasame cake.' "....?" "STOP! EATING! MY SESAME! CAAAKE!"
Tim Curry can make even the most god awful piece of crap entertaining, to a point.
Confusing. You bring up, without leaving out any the great things about "The blob 1988" that, in fact really makes it a cult classic and a very worthy one at that - only to reach the conclusion that it is not a classic after all. Oh well, as long as you make people actually watch it ... because watch it they must!
The hunt was awesome
When I was in college I went to a Bruce Campbell book signing/screening of Bubba Hotep and he told a story about a movie he was excited about and asked the audience if we would have signed up for it and he said "congratulations you just greenlit CONGO!" He did say that he bought a state of the art water heater with that paycheck.
I personally liked Congo, I think the main thing it suffered from was being a couple years too soon for the effects.
I haven't seen it, but I absolutely LOVE Bruce Campbell! May have to watch it now.
"Now John Travolta may be no stranger to box office bombs, but The Fanatic has got to be the nadir of his career."
Battlefield Earth is deeply offended that you've obviously forgotten it, mister critic!
Say what u will, but Congo was one of my favorite movies as a kid in the 90s. Still love it to this day.
Freddy Got Fingered is my guilty pleasure. It’s awful, but you never forget it once you’ve watched it. Rip Torn is amazing as his dad.
Ghost ship was originally ment to be a psychological thriller but after tons of rewrites after casting it was eventually changed to a slasher. Why there seems to be a massive tone shift between the opening and the rest.
According to the director this was due to 9/11 as the studio forced it to be changed to a generic good vs evil instead of the psychological corruption of man.
Sure, the messaging of The Hunt was very hamfisted, but the film still was great, very engrossing and entirely carried by Betty Gilpin‘s amazing performance.
"zombie pregnancy is deeply intriguing"
Yea dude that's just you
I truly enjoyed “The Gray Man”. The fact Gosling played it straight was actually a plus. And Chris Evans was hilarious.
I always enjoyed Ghost Ship, it might not be the best movie in the world, but it really ain't that bad.
The Hunt is fire wtf you talking about?
So you showed a bunch of movies people actually love.
I won't lie, I know the Gray man is bad but I friggin love it. Chris Evans 20/10. That tram sequence? So much cgi. The hottest of messes.
The Blob was one of my fave movies as a kid.. That next to "The Fly" and "The Thing"...This is the 1st movie I saw a "Pre-Entourage" Kevin Dillon... And a young Shawnee Smith before she was groomed by John Kramer... 😏😂😂😂
The Hunt!! Is good!
The cause and effect.
The twist at the end, all make it a good movie!!
There is a Army of the dead VR experience. You stand in a six person taco truck shooting zombies in vegas. Its a blast
I have to admit, The Hunt is a guilty pleasure.
I want to say that a large part of the failure of Fanatic could be in the fact that at least I didn't even hear of it until it was out on home video.
I saw Ghost Ship for the first time on the aircraft carrier I was stationed on when it came out. But the first scene wasn't a "freak event" but rather planned as part of killing off everyone. I feel they could have done better with The Hunt.
Holy shit...I saw Malignant and understood the premise but I never realized the reason she was always facing away
I actually enjoyed those movies with the exception of " Click". I didn't see Chinese Zodiac, Malignant, or The Fanatic so can't give opinion on those.
Ghost ship was ok lol
"Ghost Ship" didn't have a chance. After such a great opening, there was no way it could live up to that. It's not a horrible movie, but it isn't as bad as most people say it is - everything is compared next to the awesome opening, and you can't live up to that in a film. There are plenty of other films with the same fate.
"I'm not a pound of sugar, I'm a primatologist!". Congo's most over exaggerated line delivery. So much fun.
The hobbit yes it's no masterpiece but peter jackson still knows beautiful location and music even if some of the characters are dull and bland and if it drags on story
I read the Hobbit back in grade 8. It took less time than watching these movies. Great dragon though.
Gray Man was fun to watch, Chinese Zodiac too same for Constantine or the army ... dusagree about the per se "bad" for at least the half list
Gray man is pure cheez action and I loved it. Evans was so over the top, I wanted a prequel.
I would include DARK PHOENIX as well
We get to see the X-Men one last time in all their glory before Disney can reduce them into clowns
Plus, Hans Zimmer's score alone made it worth watching
There is nothing Disney can do that will be worse than dark Phoenix, X-Men 3, or X-Men origins Wolverine
@@LadyAndreaRose1701But there's nothing they can do that can be better than First Class, Deadpool or Logan
Come on! Malignant Is Amazing!!!
I've got a fondness for the objectively bad _Bad Company_ (1995) with Laurence Fishburne, Ellen Barkin and Frank Langella. It's an odd post-Cold War espionage (government and corporate) thriller in which everyone's a villain; the only character plausibly identifiable as a "hero" is only introduced in the second half as a secondary character, occupies very little screen time, and even her "heroic" action - at the very end of the movie - is done in a cowardly and self-serving way.
And I kind of love it for that.
Also, Ellen Barkin is her sexy self. There's even a "Basic Instinct" moment.
I had almost forgotten about The Fanatic! Thank you. Amazing stuff.
Conan the barbarian 2009.
Awful dialogue, terrible SFX, horrendous casting decisions but Jason Mamoa having the time of his life in a movie.
I have rewatched The Hunt loads of times. I really like that film.
Saw "The Hunt" in theater... Why? Cause saw it day before everything.... and I mean EVERYTHING was closed down in 2020 due to the pandemic. Made it more surreal than film itself.
The Relic, a movie based in a novel, they changed a lot of things but it still good
Tommy Wiseau: What a story, Whatculture!
Chris Evans is quickly becoming my favorite actor lol
I actually Really disagree with the take on malignant. I think that the hyperstylized weird "matrixy" way that she was moving around after she starts Being taken over is what made me not like the movie, as much as I would have if they went straight up horror with the end instead of all that goofy s*** in there.
"Congo" gets a lot of hate unnecessarily...Laura Linney is awesome and there's great side character performances. It's not as cruel as the book but that's not a bad thing. The book is kinda heartless.
I read Congo before seeing it and I was disappointed. I also like how the ground in the cave has diamonds just lying around in the ground like they grew up from underneath. And we were making fun of Amy. "Good Amy!"
I believe that's exactly how my family and i watched ghost ship
Lets go Ghost Ship! You made it!
I like Malignant and The Hunt two very enjoyable movies.
I've always kind of liked Congo. Yeah, it's pretty crappy, but i enjoy it for what it is.
I loved The Gray Man and Army of The Dead... maybe I'm just easily entertained, lol.
Chinese zodiac (armour of god 3) is a good film, you should have put the medallion in its place.
2:14 Shawnee Smith FTW!
Tammy and The T Rex, the director somehow got his hands on an animatronic T Rex but only had a week to film it. Watch it
Whatculture says a movie sucks. Everyone else: Okay so these movies are good. These are basically, top ten recommendations" :)
The hunt was actually pretty entertaining, even as a weaker movie. however, I wouldnt say it sucked, cuz it doesnt.
Agree with everything apart from army of the dead. You are right in suggesting everyone wanted this to work but it was just truly awful with no redeeming features - Well, maybe tig as an action star-she was brilliant - I’ll give you that one 😁
Ghost ship doesn’t suck… Not great, but doesn’t suck
Legit biggest crush on Josh
Not every Michael Crichton book makes a great movie
I was one of the people upon seeing the cover of Ghost Ship in the local video store in the 80's i did rent it and watch it did not live up to the cover was not very good but it was not horrible
The Blob only suffers from a bad 3rd act
I liked Ghost Ship, the 89 version of The Blob, Malignant, and I found The Fanatic entertaining in the same way as watching two people knock each other around because of road rage..
Army of the dead was alot of fun
I love Ghost Ship!!
I don't understand this list. Non of these movies "suck". they aren't madterpieces, but they are far from bad
army of the dead was just super fun. bad movie, but fun
Army of the Dead was so bad it gave my dead grandmother cancer.
Click made me cry- not gonna lie
I loved Ghost Ship
no. grey man the only one on here I don't want the time back. I either hard-passed or regretted the time wasted...
Omg Congo is basically on my mt Rushmore 😂
I like the greyman
$3000, on a 2019 movie… wow.
You shut your mouth click is one of the best movies ever
most of these movies really are garbage, but they are also super fun. not like whats become of the alien or terminator franchises.
I liked Ghost Ship
Ghost Ship is only worth watching for that opening scene. After that, just turn it off
Guess I didn't make far enough to see Chris Evans turn up The Grey Man😅. Army of the Dead is ok - HOWEVER, the set-up for the dessicated zombies that will come to back to "life" if it rains - which is never paid off - is a sin!!!
The Hunt does not suck lol
Oh my God I remember Army the dead! It was such garbage but the tiger was awesome
I loved The Hunt. High end B movie and fun. That end fight was epic.
Why do people feel the need to not allow themselves to laugh at simple humor sometimes? You can still enjoy highbrow stuff and cheap jokes.
I just wanna sayl the worst movie on this list is 10,000 times better Madame Web.
How dare you put Click upon this list
Malignant was a good film and very weird
I love click
I apologised to my backside for making it sit through Ghost Ship what terrible terrible movie 🙂
Congo should not be on here. Thats a good movie. Not great. But it is good.
Algorithm 👍🏾
The Hunt sucked? Nope.
Dawn of tbe Dead remake was absolute garbage. Malignant was amazing
First
"Click" may be your usual lowbrow Adam Sandler comedy, for the most part, but the scene with him rewinding back to talking with his now deceased father always makes me tear up.
I found click to be an underrated movie to a point that I think it got too much hate for the wrong things. It had everything a movie needed in my opinion. It had comedy it had heart it had drama it had high stakes and it had a heartfelt ending. And the lesson behind the movie is one that everybody needs to hear
Please. That’s yet another movie I refuse to watch in my lifetime.
Its like a silly Sandler film with a surprisingly really sad section
@dragolance I think it's very underrated Adam Sandler movie
The movie’s turn they address here is memorable with lots of good to great moments which only go bad when they try to force in comedy. No where near his best movie, but good.
