Stunning cars, and the scope for tuning would certainly make them go as well as they look on different tracks. Would love to get my hands on one of these

Thanks Travis for a very good review of a car I have been looking forward to buying for ages. This was after seeing the Chrono version and news of it for it seems like a year now.
An added attraction in that it did win LeMans outright and not just the class for the slowest cars like some other makes claiming to have won LeMans in recent years.
Your review shows the it is hard to see how SRC could have improved on the car.
I am hoping that by May some local outlet in Australia will have these for sale. I do not wish to order from Spain with all the complications of overseas currencies, shipping and customs Prefer to support local retailers as you advise in nearly all your vids. Even then I prefer one that I can deal with face to face.
This face to face purchase is what I have done for all my previous numerous SRC car purchases. Not possible with an overseas Spanish web site.

You will need to check but a UK dealer is offering these on pre order as individual items. I could be wrong but I suspect it's the well packaged double set Travis now has that is exclusively from SRC? The twin pack is offered by SRC for 192 Euros and here in the UK this means a 20% excise charge + courier processing for import from Spain (post Brexit) as it is over the 150 Euro de minimus threshold. Yes, it is expensive and impersonal but it should be a safe and reliable remote retail to somewhere like Australia. So, there should be choices for what you want.

As I commented on Dave's channel, these are perhaps the most innovative slot cars in many a long while. I am definitely up for some when they release later this year. Dave beat you to the punch by a few days in reviewing these. You have both brought your own individual style, charisma and strengths to your respective reviews and I love you both for it. You certainly have the better macro camera, Travis. Which of you is best? Now that's like asking whether the No7 or the No8 car is going to win. A criticism? For me the lack of working lights on a Le Mans car is 'most disappointing'. These things spend half their time racing a 24h under cover of night. It is not as though SRC don't know how to do good slot car lights. I hope they can fix this for future iterations?

Dave did a great job and I honestly cannot put my self in his league, he has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the hobby and just being mentioned with him I feel great full.
unfortunately being in Australia I do miss out on early deliveries but my goal with SRC was to get as many people exposed to this brand and that's why I introduced Dave to SRC as he knows his stuff

@@thatslotcarguy No doubt in my mind you two are in the same league with Dave having more of a 'trade' background and experience in the hobby. An interesting contrast is that the stock rubber on these seems to stick better to Dave's Policar (?) than your Carrera track. However, like you, I prefer the wider lane gauge with Carrera. I suspect more grippy rubber or urethane on the back wheels would even up the score on Carrera? I am not sure on the guide blade depth but this should be a straightforward swap too. Otherwise, no-one seems to be talking much Scaleauto of late? They seem to be doing cars to this level and they are investing in Carrera gauge and compatible tracks too. All this may just turn out to be the most innovative push forward on the slot car scene over the next few years? I don't even know if Scaleauto and SRC are different brands in the same business? However, the Spanish slot car scene is most certainly now coming on strong :)

crikey; just looked at their site. And people complain about the price of Scalextric cars.... Dear but at least they are affordable if you know where to look. These things I'd be afraid to race.

      Cheers for watching mate
Yes they are not cheap but remember this cars are built mostly by hand and can be modified to the drivers liking with after market parts supplied by SRC.
Scalextric is an amazing company and serve a very important role in our hobby, perfect for collectors, beginners, kids etc but SRC are in a completely different league
