    The Southwest planes take longer to takeoff because people actually bring checked baggage. Note how quickly Spirit takes off LOL.

      I have found SWA planes don’t need that much runway especially for a 737. But they can’t cruise as fast once flying.

    9:15 used almost the entire runway. Probably the longest takeoff you’ve seen. No surprise, a 737-800/900 on a long flight.

    Very interesting how some of the 757s are younger than some of those A320s, the A320 just seems like a younger aircraft for some reason

    I love the ones you catch where the planes are stopped then they start the takeoff. Example 16:28 the air canada plane. Would you consider catching more of those types of takeoffs as well? Great video!

    What is the focal length of your lens? Did you use a ladder to get over the fence?

    • @LeppAviation
      @LeppAviation  4 роки тому

      Fred B Regan I use a Sony Camcorder, so I’m not sure of the focal equivalent. It’s a 12x optical and 20x clear image zoom. As far as the fence, I had to stand on the base of a light pole to shoot over the fence. I’m 6’3, so I imagine someone shorter may have an issue even when standing on the base.

    The flight from ORL to MIA, seems like a waste to me lol. Is is really all that much quicker to fly than drive? Gotta arrive at airport an hour, hour and a half, flight is probably 30-45 minutes. Taxiing, deboarding, getting bags, etc.
    I can’t imagine it’s any quicker, but maybe I’m wrong...

    • @mikeymikey8849
      @mikeymikey8849 5 років тому

      Seth Froman it takes like four hours to drive and going on the plane and everything is like 3 hours and 45 mins so maybe a waste

      Since Miami is an American HUB plane probably stopped in MCO from Chicago or Dallas. More re-positioning than revenue generating but better than dead head.

      Only if you don't fly the plane like your supposed to..... Don't know about you but a lot of us pilots are in agreement around here that praying the plane out of a nosedive doesn't normally work. Better training, easier to navigate manuals (though they shouldn't be needed for stuff like this) and apart from all, the basic flying principles of Aviate, Navigate, Communicate would have prevented both crashes based on the evidence currently available.
