Your voice is so soothing! I love watching these videos for inspiration and relaxation - the production value is also top notch. Thanks for your awesome work!
The area around Mushroom Rock feels like it’s straight out of a fairytale. I've always enjoyed guiding school groups along this stretch of the Alpine Trail, with its stunning, surreal rock formations that make it such a magical and educational destination.
The professional production quality of your videos, is light years ahead of that of outdoor content creators, with a hundred times the subscribers. Well done. Great work Hayley.
Great video, and what looks like a very pleasant walk. Although I fear I would get stuck trying to negotiate some of those rock gaps. Incidentally, in the brief time I spent walking in New Zealand, I found I really missed the smell of eucalypts. It's just not there. I would gladly give 2 leeches and a march fly a ride if I get to see a lyrebird.
Hayley, once again you show yourself as the ideal trail buddy, albeit virtual! Your commentary is gold and your humour is priceless! BTW there’s a lyrebird on the way up Feathertop who can do the iPhone camera shutter sound and the wireless locking noise on cars. One part of me thinks it’s astounding mimicry, the other incredibly sad. But mimicry it is. And on the Cathedral Range I saw a lyrebird crossing the trail impersonating the MOVEMENT of a wallaby…bounding across…that was a real eye-opener to their abilities.
Keep walking past the rocks and you'll eventually end up in Canberra! Already received my fair share of walking books as gifts, still won't say no to another one though lol
For once, I was familiar with the destination. I had to pitch on a tiny bit of grass at Mt Erica carpark, and in the morning go through the Mushroom Rocks area on my recent AAWT. Just the start of many wow moments as I went through the high country.
Another fun adventure Ms Hayley😃 The lyrebird’s chatter was so cool too Didn’t realize how massive the one rock was until you went under it😳 Wishing You and Your Family A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year’s as well🎄❤️ Take care, keep safe and see you on your next video👍🏻🙏🏻😃😊
Oh boy!! There is Haley girl the pack!! Always got me covered when I need water. You always have something to carry don’t you. Those pretty pouches are always full of stuff. You silly pack!! Love you to pieces.
As an American who knows very little of Australian wildlife how concerned should I be about snakes while hiking on a scale of 1 being no worry to 10 encounters are imminent? Thanks for the great videos!
I waved on my way past 😛 I have friends who live in Officer so it was a nice drive from there, but a mammoth drive to get back to my home. Definitely need multiple days for any Gippsland adventures. 😁 I also really want to go to those Metung hot springs haha
The first video I ever watched of yours was the zlite review (I ended up buying the nemo :p) but I wanted to drop in to say it’s awesome to see how your content is developing. You’re so good at this. I live in Canada so for me I watch your stuff just because it’s awesome and makes me want to get out there in my own backyard (although I did live in Aussie for a year and you make me miss it at the same time). Keep going, your content is a bit of cheer in the world and it’s a better place for it!
I think I saw your kiwi hiking buddy in Kraig Adams latest video of the Dart Rees track. He appears about 4min 50 seconds in. I hope it was him and I'm not just imagining things lol. Prefer your style tbh, keep up the great work! :)
Thank you hehe. :) I read this comment and thought “It better not be him, imagine the betrayal, he going hiking without I” 🤣 It’s not actually him but holy moly it does look like him. He even has the same walk and the same style shorts and boots. Good spotting! You’ll have to be my video spy in case Dougie goes on an NZ hike without me 🤣

The hike sounds great and the humor you add is awesome. Thanks for sharing 😊
Great high quality production video! Really enjoyed watching once more :)
Great vid, beautifully shot. Your thoughts on the content at the end of the vid was also very useful and informative.
Thank you Hayley. Love your filming and cheeky, creative presentation.
Your cinematography and content overall is always so unique and masterfully executed! Love it my friend 👌👌

As a scout leader, I need to get this book IMMEDIATELY! Thanks for the video Hayley!
Cool fun :) So moved to Gippsland? We've moved way closer to the alps too (from QLD). Originally from Melbourne but been missin' that alpy beauty.

Nice video. I’m planning to do some hiking in the Blue Mountains during the few weeks I’m spending in Australia on the way home from NZ.

A leech rating of 2 makes it a good walk. Thank you. Hope you get a cut of the book sales.
Beautiful walk
To stop/lessen the travel is takes longer than the hike.
But this is also not a bad for day trips.
Nice you would have just about driven past my place to get there... Welcome to Gippsland, plenty of great places to see :D

Come to Gippsland! Plenty of things to do :)
Great adventure trip.
Thank you :)
