I think Nemo is right. Daigo usually talks about the strength of a character without knowing it well. That explains why his tiers list are usually inaccurate.
Yeah, cus this lone man on twitch says “this characters strong” and then eventhubs is like “WRITE THAT DOWN”. Honestly, when he says a character is “strong” it really just seems like he’s talking about their neutral game and moves that leave them in a great situational advantage. Hence him saying Gills fireball was strong and not jut Gill himself.
Probably should also mention at the time, Daigo 1) had only played Kage for 2 days at this point, 2) was playing a command character on hitbox, one of the worst things to do and 3) was ill. He was completely beyond sub-optimal so no shit he played like garbage. But, Nemo's trashtalk really is just some friendly trashtalk so eh, all good. He knows he got runback later and Daigo was STILL on hitbox at that point.

Wouldn’t call it “clean” really. I like Daigo, the person and the player, but he went “screw it” and relied on around 5 throws for the final round. It was funny more than anything. I’ve seen these guys play each other dozens of times in SFV, with their mains, and they go back and forth. So I wouldn’t put much stock in winning or losing with new characters. I just enjoy the spectacle more than anything.
