I always loved the minebuster, but yeah, it is a rough ride that likes to throw you off your seat. Also, the Wilde Beast has always been the roughest of the coasters. Only a restraining bar with all those turns really whips you around.
Haven’t been to Canadas Wonderland in 30 years. Can’t believe that the Minebuster is still there! It was rough then too. I hated it but always went back.
I have lived in Ontario my whole life, I am about to turn 48. We used to go Canada's Wonderland every year in the 80's for public school trips. The last time I was there was around 2003 about 20 years ago. Top Gun was the newest atraction i believe. My friends and I used to ride Dragon Fyre first every year because it was right up at the front by the entrance. Bat, dragon fyre, minebuster, wildebest, the stand up ride I think it was called starscream or something have all been there since the 80s, also the white water rafting thing if it's still there
I live just outside of Toronto, I use to go to Canada's Wonderland multiple times a year, every year when I was younger. Glad you got to experience it! Those wooden roller coasters are original to the park, Probably around 40 years old that's why they were a little rough but their classics! Loved your video thanks!
Next go to the haunt. (Canada's wonderland Halloween event) The backlot stunt coaste used to have real explosions and fires, it was amazing, sadly the workers complained of getting too hot.
People remember it being called Paramount Canada’s Wonder-land. All I remember as a kid was Hanna Barbera Land and Smurf Village. There was also a Flintstones themed area. Plus there were free performances. Somewhat corny. My favourite was the classic pirate ship. Several years later, a friend/former classmate took her grandmother on it and posted to Facebook. It was a hoot. She liked it. As a teen, I remember a classmate telling me he worked there during the summer. You could take a bus up there from Square One (I think). When Skyrider opened, I hated it because I barely made the height requirement and it’s a stand up roller coaster. Even if it’s stand up, there’s this tiny seat that you can sort of sit on. Pain in the butt for a short person like me. I liked rollercoasters back in the day. I don’t think I can do it now. Last I went, it was over 24 years ago and it was because I got free tickets. I have never been to Splash Works there, but I suppose if someone wanted to, I would join them. BTW, glad that you could make it up to Canada to come to this theme park.
My 15 year old son rode the Behemoth last summer. When he got off, he started bowing to it "Thank you Behemoth! Because of you, my balls have descended!"
Idk how this video ended up in my FYP but welcome to Canada 🇨🇦 I haven’t been to wonderland in years I use to go love The Bat ride was my favorite we have other parks like this in Canada also if you have some time check out some other places like wonderland for example Niagara Falls on Canadian side also Centreville Amusement Park 😊🤘
Wonderland is my home park, Alpen Fury might top Leviathan (for me atleast) Nothing has topped leviathan other than behemoth with its insane airtime on some rides I got this season although the main reason why behemoth topped leviathan was that Leviathan would always draw long lines and none in my group would want to go. but after an evening ride on leviathan it now comfortly sits in my #1 spot
Unfortunately, my first ever rollercoaster ride, when I was young, was the Minebuster. Not a great choice to introduce a kid to rollercoasters. As an adult now, though i oddly enough feel nostalgia for it over the years of it being there.
Minebuster used to be so good it was always rough, but it's definitely in need of some work. A slow rainy day in 2004, my friend and I rode it 33 times in a row it started to hurt, so we stopped. I went on it 4 days ago, and one trip felt like I rode it 33 times.
Glad to hear your first visit to the park was great! Sorry to hear you didn’t get a good ride on Minebuster. For me I say the best time to ride Minebuster would be at night and if you want to avoid the roughness I recommend not sitting in the wheel seats and also aim to sit in the orange train. :)
The Mindbuster has been there since the park opened in 1981, first and last coaster I was ever on in 82 lol one time only ended my coaster career hahaha
Believe it or not bus Minebuster is actually pretty smooth this year! It was just retracted… again… It was worse than Wilde Beast last year but is noticeably smoother after the retracking.
I hope you had lots of fun and enjoyment! I used to go to Wonderland every other summer when I was a kid and teen. My favourite coaster used to be the Scooby Doo coaster but I think they've long removed it.
Scooby Doo Ghoster Coaster is what your saying i remember that wooden coaster but its called Bore but Scooby Doo Haunted House is Boo Blaster on Boo Hill the slow shooting game ride
Another great video, Katie!! I’ve been waiting for this one because I knew it was going to be good. Leviathan is great, but it wasn’t able to take over as my favorite coaster.

not sure if anyone has brought this up yet, but it used to be called paramount's Canadas wonderland, and a lot of the rides were named after movies like the back lot stunt course was the italian job and then theres the top gun, that was based off the movie also. just a little fun fact. ngl the first time i rode top gun i got rocked because my head kept bouncing off the chest restraint xD.

Great video! Yeah, Time warp seems like a very odd coaster, like being trapped in a metal cage. I hope you liked Yukon Striker a lot! Viper sounded very fun! Id probably like it as I like the Bat at Kings Island a lot! Both of those wooden coasters sounded very rough. Its great to see you had a good time! I really enjoyed watching this! Im really looking forward to the next Vlog!
If it helps explain it at all (Canadian here who has been endless times to Canadas Wonderland) The MineBuster is one even we HATE lol It's just nostalgic because its one of the original 4 rides built there in 1981 when it opened. 100% this ride WILL CAUSE HEAD AND NECK TRAUMA though so we avoid it lol

Kinda beats you up. Not worth waiting. Yukon Striker is the one that will have you raving. If you go on one coaster there, make that the one. Line is usually long, but moves a little faster than you'd think as well thanks to the number of people per car and the unique storage bins to leave your stuff.

Good video. Surprised this was your first time to Wonderland and Canada overall, given all your exploits to places further away. Wonderland is fun. Hopefully you also had time to do the sights around Toronto area. It's a great city, with a lot to see and do.
M'lady we used to be called Paramount Canada's wonderland and Back Lot Stunt Coaster used to be called The Italian Job from the Movie and you would stop see fire burst heli fly up police car than down the tunnel but ever since we No longer as Paramount the former Italian Job complexly sucks goes to quick and its short so its not very worth riding #CanadasWonderland
I would say no but they should completely restore Minebuster with reprofiling of the bunny and airtime hills to their original glory and retrace with Gravity Group keeping it a real wood coaster. IDK maybe it’s not even possible. It was ridiculous back before Splashworks was there. Wilde Beaste just do the GG retrack. Ground up compact RMC at the Time Warp Flight Deck site. This is my dream but they’re probably just gonna RMC my Minebuster which would also be awesome since they could go full Gwazi with the space back there :)
Im going next year with ACE, i was gonna go this year but when AlpenFury was announced i said fuck it, im waiting till next year. Probably gonna be the best nine inversion coaster out there by default . Cause Lawn Ornament aka Steel Curtain will probably be suffering from Broke Down Syndrome,
Which is part of the GTA, called the Greater Toronto Area, and is literally directly beside Toronto. We have transit all over Toronto that connects directly to it, might as well be here.
Happy you came to see us Katie!! Just to be clean “Canada’s Wonderland” is not in Toronto, it’s in Vaughan. You should come again for the spooky time near Halloween or at Christmastime, it’s so beautiful! This is a whole wonderful experience!
Chris, does it really matter? It's still considered a Toronto amusement park, especially since the park can be accessed from a subway station in Toronto.
wilde beast and minebuster have been there since the 80s so yeah, they're pretty rattly, it gets harder to ride them as you get older because of the rattling
It was good before they built all those subdivisions around it. Now it's full of kids who constantly cut the lines and very very long line ups. Lat time I went was there for 6hrs and only went on 4 rides.
Been on many roller coasters. Never yet have been on one that 100%a smooth ride the entire time. Very lift is bumpy and flunky and makes more noise then needed. And all smooth coasters eventually get rickety. Food for thought. Never judge rides on others opinions of them. It’s about expierences not perceptions and hear say anyways. I hope people do t still go on reviews of things. That’s never been accurate. Again it comes down to each their own mentality not cookie cutter opinions of things in our lives. Even if 100 people said it’s terrible one still may enjoy it. What ever it is. Majority thoughts arnt the final word on anything. All these videos are nothing more than a sharing of opinion. Expectations for rides seem t9 be way tooo high for so many… just enjoy what’s there. Stop complaining. This girl is extremely picky. None of the rides in wonderland are worth complaining about or nit-picking about. And again lowering expectations helps for enjoying life and not take everyth8ng to be the best ever. Nothing is the best ever. Unless time has stopped for good. We build better over time that’s nothing new. But saying somethings crappy because something”better” came along makes zero sense. If you enjoyed it before why would that change just cause there’s comparisons.
Did you take two days to visit the park because it was extremely busy, or was it mainly just because it was your first day there and you wanted to take it casually?

M'lady we used to be called Paramount Canada's wonderland and Back Lot Stunt Coaster used to be called The Italian Job from the Movie and you would stop see fire burst heli fly up police car than down the tunnel but ever since we No longer as Paramount the former Italian Job complexly sucks goes to quick and its short so its not very worth riding #CanadasWonderland

Never been on Time Warp because every time I go everyone wants to skip it because it’s wack.
So….. Should the park sacrifice one of the woodies to get the RMC treatment? 🧐
@@karlmanning2603 I definitely think so!! An RMC would do great at this park!
This is my dream but they’re probably just gonna RMC my Minebuster which would also be awesome since they could go full Gwazi with the space back there
:)
Im going next year with ACE, i was gonna go this year but when AlpenFury was announced i said fuck it, im waiting till next year.
Probably gonna be the best nine inversion coaster out there by default . Cause Lawn Ornament aka Steel Curtain will probably be suffering from Broke Down Syndrome,
Canada's Wonderland is in Vaughn
Which is part of the GTA, called the Greater Toronto Area, and is literally directly beside Toronto. We have transit all over Toronto that connects directly to it, might as well be here.
@@Figgy20000 they are still different cities
What is a giga?
@@stephenstuckey I'm glad you asked! It's a coaster that has a height of between 300-399 feet.
Ah ok cool👍🏻
Happy you came to see us Katie!! Just to be clean “Canada’s Wonderland” is not in Toronto, it’s in Vaughan. You should come again for the spooky time near Halloween or at Christmastime, it’s so beautiful! This is a whole wonderful experience!
Chris, does it really matter? It's still considered a Toronto amusement park, especially since the park can be accessed from a subway station in Toronto.
It's not in Toronto. It is in Vaughan.
wilde beast and minebuster have been there since the 80s so yeah, they're pretty rattly, it gets harder to ride them as you get older because of the rattling
Yeah, that makes sense. Gave me a headache on my first rides... 🤕
@@KatiesCoasters it gives me headaches too
It was good before they built all those subdivisions around it. Now it's full of kids who constantly cut the lines and very very long line ups. Lat time I went was there for 6hrs and only went on 4 rides.
You need fast pass
You should have seen it in the 80s heyday.
25 $ for a bottlebof water orbpop probably
Well, both actually... We knew it was going to be pretty busy, plus, wanted to take some time to enjoy the park altogether.
Bro it's in Vaughan
My home park! Wood coasters are rough but Wilde Beast can be good in the front. What are your 3 wood coasters you like?
@@Evil_breakfast Such an awesome park to be your home park! My top 3 wooden coasters are:
1. Eltoro, 2. Ghostrider 3. Mystic Timbers
@@KatiesCoasters those sound awesome. Will have to add to our list for next year. We just did Ravine Flyer 2. Our favorite so far.
@colinsmith1501 Heard that one is really good too!!
