Allen Williams - Adam Wilson on the show, died in May 2019 the Sunday before Memorial day. Which was kinda perfect because , although he was a decorated Marine who fought in the Vietnam war , he HATED Memorial day. He died after suffering for ten years, of Alzheimer's Disease. He loved his years on the Lou Grant show- loved his fellow costars and treasured the lifelong friendships he made while working with them. He was a loyal, generous friend and the best father any kid could hope for. He was my best friend and I'll miss him forever.
I'm very sorry to hear about your friend, sounds like a good man. Mr. Williams' character always stood out visually, especially during the opening theme where he's on the phone asking about missing money. I watched most of the episodes during the original run, thought they should have featured him more often.
