Zoologist Answers: WTF is THAT?? (Freaks of Nature)

  • On today's episode of "WTF is THAT??", we'll be going over some animals that went viral due to the ways that they get down with the get down. While these mating rituals/circumstances may seem freaky to us, they represent just a small fraction of the variety of ways life on this planet gets freaky. And so: freaky is in the eye of the beholder.
As always, a huge thanks to Gian for the fantastic editing! :)

Hi! I’m the artist that drew the Twerking mothman featured! One of your lovely viewers added in the order notes that they’d seen it in this video. I’m so grateful not only for the fact you allowed me to get a flood of orders in within a few days, but also because I have a new channel to love and follow! Thanks!

So interesting learning how humans in proximity with obscure species for long periods of time learn to benefit from their existence.

You know, the moth was indeed horrifying, but the realization that pretty much any large body of water is a soup of sexual fluid? That was peak "nope" for me.😵

You're quickly becoming my favorite content creator, not only do you share information that typically no one would even KNOW how to search and find but you're also doing it in a fun way that sticks with you. I watched one of your videos a couple months ago and it stuck with me so much to the point I just randomly dropped the facts I learned from you to my mom. Needless to say she was kinda horrified but interested nonetheless
