This is brilliant! Thanks for showing us how to mount that fixture horizontally. :)

Moving heads are not made to mount horizontally...messes up the mechanics...tried it and motor busted after 4 uses.

Curious if there is a way to mount the pocket pro vertically on top of a speaker pole? I’m trying to get rid of my totems as I never use them and the pocket pro on top of them looks kinda silly as they’re smaller. I just think the pocket pro would look better vertically on speaker pole (obviously one that I’m not using with a speaker)

For last 10 years I´ve been using this and have no problem mounting my lights pretty much anywhere I want to (not just stands, tross etc, as long it is something solid 13-55 mm you can fix your light to it). www.thomann.de/se/manfrotto_035xmt_super_clamp_pack.htm

The reason ADJ says do not it like that is to avoid internal damage. Eventually being mounted like that will destroy the yoke due to the fact that the fixture is not built to stand that kind of pressure.

    Hey Brian!
I would like to place my ADJ Pocket Pro Lights under a speaker & above a sub.
I was told by a couple of djs that the vibration could hurt my lights internally.
I was told by others that it wouldn't cause any damage.
What is your take on this?

If your question hasn't been answered yet, It is probably best if you do not have the light mounted on a pole touching the sub(s)

Wouldn't this configuration shoot the light into everyone's eyes?

David Andrews yes it would and it wouldn’t have the right feeling, I would prefer to put them higher as I know that gobos flash also , I have a Led mini moving head and the it flashes, when on music mode or slave,it bright
or put the light on a separate truss or stand that what plan to do in when I buy more, my Led mini moving head is on T bar , it just down to preference and getting the right mood

    Dear Brian,
Thank you again for your great videos, and for offering to answer questions!!
Here are the questions I sent ADJ, but because they are not around on the weekend, and I'm hoping to get the answers for tomorrow, I'm hoping you get these questions on time, and thank you in advance for answering!
I recently purchased for our non-profit, the ADJ POC723 POCKET PRO MOVING HEAD (www.adj.com/pocket-pro) & a UC IR Remote (www.adj.com/uc-ir), and I cannot get the remote to work with the Pocket Pro. I even got new batteries, just to make sure the remote has the power it needs, but the IR transmitter on the remote does not light up to indicate that it is working, and I don't know if it needs to light up in order to work.
The Pocket Pro is working well on it's own, and I'm very happy with it, but I have an artist photo & video shoot for our faculty, staff, & volunteers, tomorrow (Sunday), and would very much like to be able to control they unit.
Looking online, and in the Pocket Pro manual, I'm getting a little closer to figure this out, thanks to your tutorials for the menu setup on other ADJ lighting fixtures that work with IR (like ua-cam.com/video/k-rhXPVSZRM/v-deo.html), but for the Pocket Pro, I was not able to find clear directions from start to finish, on how to control the Pocket Pro with this remote, and some of the info provided by ADJ is conflicting with other info (like the statement in their product link, that says that with this remote you can control the light with an iPhone or iPad, which conflicts with other sources that says that the remote works by itself, and simply needs to be pointed at the light).
    Questions:
    1. Can you please provide me with the most detailed directions you have, on how to control the Pocket Pro with this remote (especially Pocket Pro menu setup, etc.)?
    2. Can you please let me know if I can set the Pocket Pro (either manually and/or with the remote) to a stationary spot light position, and how? (I saw the Pocket Pro stationary in the video at ua-cam.com/video/1yxdG8oARJ0/v-deo.html&feature=emb_logo but don't know how to set it up like that. Even if I need to do it from the Pocket Pro menu itself, and cannot do it from the remote, that will still be useful for tomorrow's shoot.)
    3. Can you please let me know if I can toggle the Pocket Pro between stationary spot light positions, and how? (Hopefully this is possible with the remote as well -- I'm hoping to be able to program basic spot positions & colors/gobos for dance & music shows, rather than only having pan/tilt movements with the Pocket Pro.)
Thanks in advance for your help,
    Best Regards,
    Dan.

I wouldn't do that...messes up the mechanics inside the light.
