well back around 2-3 years ago, Smicer is in the Liverpool legend squad for the charity match against bayern munich legends. He is certainly to us, scouser, a legendary hero
Going back in history - Roger Osborne (FA Cup final 1978), Bobby Stokes (FA Cup final 1976), Ian Porterfield (FA Cup Final 1973), Mike Trebilcock (FA Cup final 1966, twice). The latter is my personal choice, as it heralded the rise of Harry Catterick's fine Everton side (West, Kendall, Harvey, Labone, Young, Morrissey, Wright, Newton, Royle, Wilson, Ball etc).
The fact that Smicer was included in a Liverpool Legends team considering Liverpool have no shortage of options to fill that team, in itself proves how important that CL goal was.

HITC leaves out who I would put #1 on this list with ease. Mario Gotze, 2014 world cup final goal for Germany, his goal in their 1-0 extra time win over Argentina. He has only scored 10 goals on 2 occasions in his career and currently only has 5 goals to his name at PSV in the dutch eredivisie. He isn't bad but a player of his caliber scoring the lone goal of an extra time world cup with all the talent that germany and argentina possess he easily would have been top for me. Wonder your opinions HITC.
Hi Tuck, much too good a player to feature in my eyes. One of the best players in the Bundesliga for 3ish seasons before that tournament, and could have become a Ballon d'Or winner without his injuries/health issues.
I know but I'm saying that as a whole career thing, he isnt in the elite class, but I see your point, maybe not worth a feature but definitely considerable as a player who may qualify for this list with his career hindsight, given how it kinda flamed out
The only thing I dont agree with is that he could have been a ballon dor winner, hes not messi or ronaldo, and it took Modric taking an underrated Croatia to the world cup final to get it off of them, maybe in a different time, but not in those twos dominated generation
Multitude of crucial goals could have been chosen for Origi. Champions League final goal, *that* goal against Everton, a crucial goal against Newcastle in one of the final games of 2018/19 title race, a goal in both legs of the Europa League QF V Dortmund. Bang average, but doesn't half come in clutch.
Slight slip up with Eder - he wasn't on loan at Swansea, he'd signed for them in summer 2015 and (because of the awful record you rightly point out) spent the second half of the season on loan at Lille, where he scored 6 in 14, which is pretty good form, all things considered. He deserves his place on the list, but I feel like people are more surprised by him popping up with the goal than they ought to have been.
I think you might have underestimated Ricken there. He was pretty good player but his career was constantly invested by injury. If he had stayed healthy, he would been a great versatile player. He was supposed to be a German international in 2002. Dortmund fans will tell you, on his day, he was unplayable.
I've seen lots of people correct you on the Dwight Gayle one, but no one's mentioned that Thomas won the old Division One title with his goal not the Premier League (maybe I'm the only one watching this video old enough to have witnessed it 😅) Also a couple of suggestions for vids. In the lead up to the CL Final how about "Where are they now?" Chelsea CL winners (your video is now 4 years old) and Man City team vs QPR (you've done the QPR team, also 4 years ago).
As a Liverpool supporter, Origi wasn't supposed to be average. We had really high hopes for him. But it turns out he is a painfully mediocre player who happens to have scored a few clutch goals. He had a couple late game winners in the EPL as well, once in the derby.
As a Chelsea fan, I’m disappointed that you didn’t even mention once, let alone include in the 7, any of the Batshuayi goals. The ones I mean are the one against West Brom (especially as that won us the Premier League title), the last second winner away to AM, and the late winner away to Ajax aswell.
I don't understand how Lucas Moura didn't make this list. He scored a Hat-trick against Ajax in the semifinal of the Champions League. As a Spurs fan i can tell you he's the most average player there is, he infuriates me so much.

Fabio Grosso is a great shout
I've seen lots of people correct you on the Dwight Gayle one, but no one's mentioned that Thomas won the old Division One title with his goal not the Premier League (maybe I'm the only one watching this video old enough to have witnessed it 😅)
Also a couple of suggestions for vids. In the lead up to the CL Final how about "Where are they now?" Chelsea CL winners (your video is now 4 years old) and Man City team vs QPR (you've done the QPR team, also 4 years ago).
Dean Windass vs Bristol City in the 2008 Championship playoff final
😉
Charisteas absolutely robbed. Scored the winning goal in a tournament win that was the biggest underdog story of all time. Should be #1
As a Liverpool supporter, Origi wasn't supposed to be average. We had really high hopes for him. But it turns out he is a painfully mediocre player who happens to have scored a few clutch goals. He had a couple late game winners in the EPL as well, once in the derby.
Mark Robins. He scored the goal that saved Fergie from the sack in 1990. English football would be completely different if Fergie had been sacked.
Great video today keep it up your doing amazing job
Origi! Liverpool legend he is!
Fabio grosso had to be number 1 here
Such an average footballer who rised in 2006 world cup
I don't understand how Lucas Moura didn't make this list. He scored a Hat-trick against Ajax in the semifinal of the Champions League. As a Spurs fan i can tell you he's the most average player there is, he infuriates me so much.
I don't think hes average. He's a quality player.
