Albinder is such an electic entrepreneur with deep insight into his business, yet he is very clear about what he knows and what he doesn't. Love his humility about the broader business landscape. Thanks Shantanu, for this episode.
I have been watching most of your shows Shantanu. I think consciously/unconsciously you are building a lot of budding job seekers to pursue entrepreneurship, existing entrepreneurs with entrepreneurial sights/insights into different businesses, increased awareness of their risk-taking capability (by listening to others) and more importantly a community..Kudos...Please keep sharing more...Hungry for more.
Thank u.. means a lot
It is so amazing to see our young gen z Indians are loving to watch and follow podcasts/interviews of these young entrepreneurs instead of looking at film heroes and tv stars. Country seems to heading in right direction
Shan, looking fab. Congratulations on yet another insightful episode. will continue watching now.
These are the best MBA guest lectures we never had (and actually needed!) ❤
*facepalm*
So very true.. I really wish we did..
I would like to thank you shantanu for such amazing content ans guest... More power to you and your entire team.
Shantanu gives out such good, sagely (elder brother) type vibes. I love his energy...
Woah what an insightful conversation. Good learning for first time entrepreneurs
Nice podcast and specially u guys providing the platform for new startup by giving your space is commendable
this is the most under rated show, so much so that i would prefer it anyday to sharktank with exponentially less drama!
This format is very good please keep this format
Eager to see this format interview with Ashneer ….. especially after seeing his interview with Masters union
It would be great for your channel as well the viewers 😊
Cheers … thanks for proving great value to us by every video
eagerly waiting
Hank meets Dom
If you kow you know 😆
Great episode! Loved the insights
Candid and realistic 🙏
I use both zomato & swiggy. Compare costs on both & choose the one that's cheaper tbh.
Another gem! The stickiness could be because one has to subscribe to get free delivery and once one has subscribed to a particular platform for a specified period then you to stick for free deliveries. But if I am ordering dinners at office (which the company pays for) I do happen to check both apps for options.
Gold 🙌
I dont know but I didn't found it as insightful as other videos. He hold his boundaries really very tight and never explain anything beyond that.
User experience is pretty good on blinkit but for Indian customers the price of the products seem pretty high compared to big basket.
Damnn amazing .... I have just forgotten all ott's , this is one of the best and amazing ways to learn from others experiences .
Season two had been missing this one on one conversations that are so meaningful and enriching ,
This content provides that hope , that there will be up and downs but if they did it , i can also do learn , execute , fail and repeat .
Hey nice thumbnail
Idk why people don't include actual brand logo in thumbnail
One quick Technical Suggestion, kindly focus on Sound Improvisation.
love the honesty
Overall podcast is great and many things to learn.
Suggestion: Please improve the 🎤
I love this episode and albi but please increase the voice a little
7:15 it's really literally everyday for me too, avg 800/- per day
Really loving blinkit 👍👍
Maturity is when you realise that, Sundar Pichai & Satya Nadella are Americans not Indians.
It's our responsibility to build enterprises like Google & Microsoft here on our soil.
Namaskāram 🙏🏽
True
Google and co should be banned in India for the local ecosystem to grow.
I used to order exclusively from swiggy and like shantunu said didn't had zomato installed even. But that has reversed once I have stared buying zomato.
I thought that groffers was founded by Ashneer.
Why did he avoid talking about ASHNEER GROVER ? He was the one who did fund raising for them.
He credits himself for all the things 😂 he says he made grofers, he made bharatpe, he made shark-tank. Truth is nobody cares about him in the startup ecosystem. Usko grofers, bharatpe aur shark tank teeno se nikal diya. Nobody cares about him, woh ab reels banata hai.
@@JCBosee average ashneer hater😂
What sneaker is Albinder wearing?
Yes please 1 interview with Ashneer, Albhy was the 1st who got Ashneer into Grofers.
Waiting for Deepinder Goyal zomato founder in detail interview
Peas in the market : 250gm/20rs
Peas on Blinkit: 250gm/ 45rs
Similarly, for other vegetables. They have not left even potato and onion. They purchase at wholesale and resell them on blinkit at 20-110% higher price.
Better to go and purchase from the market. Don't waste your hard earned money.
Not sure about loyalty not existing outside of the food delivery space - There are loyal and fickle customer segments across categories.
Voice is not clearly audible... I guess mic is not properly placed or little far. Pl consider this while recording your next podcast.
Want to see Sunil Vachani here.
these guys never made a rupee in profit & got bailed out by their buddies at zomato. One thing they had was a brand name which they inexplicably changed.
business model was unviable on day 1 & it is still unviable today (after burning through 5k cr+)
stop making heroes out of these "storytellers"
On point
Exactly! Like the kid who’s parent is the principal and they keep getting opportunities no matter how much they suck.
They still dont have an answer to when they will make first the first ₹100 cr. in net profits. Unlike VCs, Public Markets are extremely result oriented and will not think twice before punishing them. The market reacts within minutes of publication of results...
Change the sound volume, I can't here it properly!📌
Shantanu, have you ever considered opening a men's salon franchise named barbershop, another channel to sell your grooming products
Wooooow 🎉
Blanket copied our printout distribution idea
itne dur mat rakha kro mike bhai awaj bohot kam aa rha
awesome
I thought Albinder is one who is huua as created by grover sir ji
Shantnu lives in South Delhi 😮
Man looks stoned af 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why he is not talking about ashneer
Sound quality should be improved in my opinion.
Shantanu your voice is quite lower than guest, use mic a little closely - this is an insight your team will like😂
The sound is horrible, please improve it.
This guy Albinder is ready for a retirement
it would be awesome if you could have Ashneer Grover on your next podcast. We're really looking forward to it
Why do you want to have Rakhi Sawant on podcast?
Ashneer Grover is overrated , his startup circpe failed not because of govt policies but his intentions, not to think about youths future and making them to be in fantasy cricket
Please bring Kunal shah
🎉🎉🎉
@Dhinsa ji When every brand is booming on blinkit than why blinkit is not booming these days... Secondly, @shantanu ji why Bombae shaving company is not listing their products on blinkit to get BOOMING revenue...
Bhaiyya ek paan lagana
When you don't need a haircut the barber simply interview you.
How justified is it to discuss what customer is buying? Or Keep an eye on customer cart?
Can you please talk about pune roads 😢
Shantanu, why can’t you buy the single seated couches which have glass holding sockets (or pockets) on the arms of the chairs, when we watch youu or the Guest holding their glasses in their hands or on their couch arms we viewers are concerned that they would fall when they move their hands here & there when explaining their life time experiences which important for us (it is a distraction for viewers)
Dhindsa Saab 👍
Won’t be surprised if blinkit also shuts down. They are like the kid in class who’s parent is the principal and will keep getting chances no matter how much they screw up 😂
But groffers copied 10 min idea of delivery from zepto.
profitability kahan hai?grofers and blinkit both are burning VC money to capture market share.
2:26 grofers to blinkit
We want ashneer here.
We don't want Rakhi Sawant of Startup ecosystem.
He won't come here because he talks in English😂😂

Sry sir but I have an query as of my knowledge Amazon was Mafia not a gaint in this segment if it wants to compete it will give free delivery and free list and lanch sub app by using AWS it will create a large amount data then it will combine the Amazon ordering data with nearby location with simple steps later it make its delivery warehouse to dark Store and then then the rest is history because here they loss the customer on day avarage value it will end up with losing number even the founders know so they are trying to compete with data but once Amazon gets losing the game they start playing as I know many companies close there business or sold out to Amazon for aggressive pricing of Amazon basics so pls it should be noted as Amazon joins it's IOT products (Alexa)to its quick commerce app boom the entire quick commerce will end up with huge losses as of my knowledge because never under estimate jeff Bezos pls make a note and add this point
Ashneer Grover ka naam nahi lia isne founding team mein
Aaj hi chooha nikla hai iske samaan me. Vo ek alag baat hai ki iske delivery vaale company ki buraai karte rehte hain aur bolte hain ki vo jaldi hi chhor denge jaise hi doosra kaam milega. Vahi ho raha hai India me jo 100 saal se ho raha hai. Jo log apne ko "top" samajhte hain unme aur actual workers me total mismatch. Same thing happens in all civil services too, British and "natives", just that the "British" were replaced by "low IQ, low knowledge, low ability, but high confidence natives". What he says has 5:54 also has no basis in reality unless one's reality is "Bollywood".
bring shashank mehta also
Ashneer Grover 🔥

The competition is growing in this field.
Will be interesting to see who will succeed.
They all can't coexist. At some point they will merge into one giant entity.
I think instamart is leading
We want ashneer grover and Kunal shah.
Blinkit does not provides customer. Care number no refunds unsatisfied
Right?…. Right…
right
Ask the right questions sir -
1. Is 10min delivery really an invention we should be proud of ? How much more instant gratification we need ?
2. What is his view on profitability? How is that not a target / objective even for his next 10 years ?
3. How was it ok for zomato to buy blinkit, impacting Zomato's profitability
4. Ethical angle to the acquisition given his friendship with Dippi and marriage to Arti.
History has shown us that the smartest people are the biggest scamsters, these guys are no different.
I have used blinkit and their customer support is pathetic probably the worst.
There is no business of online groceries delivery in India. It's a borrowed concept from the west. We have local shops and we are highly price sensitive. The only use case of Blinkit usage is in terms of emergency (at nights) or need something urgently which is not available in neeche wala general store. Apart from this, there is no business in India. They have to Innovate to bring down costs then only it can sustain.
Also the 10-min. thing they just took from zepto
Kunal shah please
.
Each business mentioned here is a loss making enterprise. It seems today’s entrepreneurs are not worried about running a profitable business. All they’re worried about is valuations.
Bad Audio, not again!!!
Beard to ha
Not even mentioned Ashneer in discussion 🫤
Wahi ke liye aaya Tha dekhne, mkl ne ignore maara
Why did he not give Ashneer Grover his due ?
Usually money comes in between friendship and friends breakup
Don't believe whatever that con artist says or writes
Ashneer is template fluke of Indian startup system.
Blinkit : worst decision ever🙂
sahi le li phatne waali poonam G ne
Loss making GYAN will not work any longer. Wake up and start a business, not a giving pledge
Samjha nahi bhai..hindi mei bolna

Yesss absolutely,
In my opinion,
Profit of 10 lakh rupees per month >>>>>>> Valuation as an loss making /burning Unicorn 🦄.
What do you say?
@@Padmanabham. nah let me give you a expample for eg lenskart a loss making startup valued at 5billion till last year they had loss of around 1800crs or something idk the number this year they did profit of 109Cr which is more than 10 Lakh which you said and this 109cr will be 2000-3000 crs in 2-3 years valuation is not based on revenue or funding it's based on how much you can sclae for eg in case of lenskart if you think they earned 2000 cr more(1900cr loss and 100 cr profit) this ability to scale from 100cr profit to 3000cr in 2-3 year, that's why are valued at 5billion rn cause they will make 3000 cr in future and will be valued at 15-20B
and once they have a large market share for eg lenskart sells highest no of lens(blues) in India so they have created market and rule that in India and that's monopoly and the reason they are valued at $5B
And blinkit is useless. I dont why zomato put so much money
I love all the podcasts hosted here. Unfortunately, I didn't find this podcast that interesting. I could sense Shantanu struggling probably because it seemed like he had to put a lot of effort to get answers or specific insights out of Albinder. I ended up not liking Albinder due to the following reasons - i) Doesn't finish a lot of his sentences and moves to the next one. ii) I felt a lack of clarity in thoughts and articulation. iii) Very bland voice tonality.
But thanks for hosting entrepreneurs from all sorts of domains.
Blinkit is bound to fail. No commercial sense with Indians not willing to pay
Your wow was more annoying than anything..blinkit will remain loss making company
