Cam. I am a local Oregonian and I’ve met you randomly a few times. My fiancé is an Army Combat Medic and was with 10th Mountain and has Presidential awards for his team’s bravery. This man is my hero. His PTSD has been SO bad with the way the world is currently. He started watching your videos. I am seeing a light I haven’t seen in forever. He picked up a kid now from Bi-Mart last night and called his battle buddy from Texas. He needs purpose for the skills he learned. He was on a small kill team. He is THAT guy. He doesn’t see or feel his worth and he is starting to find that watching your now elk hunts. I have a bow and we live by BowTech. I actually went to school with the Endicotts. Are there ANY veteran programs to get my hero into? We live in Monroe, Oregon. He was a firefighter in Alvadore. Joined the Army, came home went to college and got his Bachelor’s degree and helped create programs in Lane County for Veterans. While in school he ran his Grandfather’s log truck shops out by HWY 99. Now he is a construction foreman and just finished up the Yaquina Bay Bridge project. He has given everything and I want to help him find a purpose. He’s been told to get a hobby and now hunting is almost identical to the targets and missions he had. He lost his two best friends by a sniper. He couldn’t save them. He was blown up and was the only one to survive. He is a gift to the World. You are inspiring him to LIVE.
My favorite part of this video is the camera work, no fancy production team, and 3 different camera men to get different angles. Just Cam out with friends and family sharing it with us. Thanks Cam. Love it.
Cam as you have said you watched elk videos over and over as a new elk hunter. My daughter 13 years old and I are watching you and your friends n family elk videos and we are watching them over n over again. Thank you and your team making content. lol my daughter wants to run lift shoot. Amazing man thank you.
Can’t wait for the rest of these epic hunts! Not a hunter myself but I honestly respect the amount of discipline and work Cam puts in daily throughout the year to make his hunts successful.
Good on you for not being a hater or having an uneducated opinion. Most non hunters are really against what cam does. It’s super hard work. Hopefully one day you get to experience it brother!
The fact that in that moment you had the mental capacity to know to severely adjust your site, so up close and in the heat of the moment is a true testament to your dedication and skill.
@@acesonflush346 He's @ full draw. He moves and it's game over. He looked, liked the bull by age and or rack and had to make a quick decision. At that distance, your 20 yard pin might shoot 10 inches low, for my draw @ 27.5 and 80 pounds, i'm a solid 6 inches low, I'm a bit heavier arrow @ 586 grains . So the move by Cam, knowing his bow and how it prints close range from paper tuning ,he raised his 20 by what he thought was needed and SQUARED THE HEART ! Just having the nerve to do that move in a tense situation takes big fucking balls. Dare I say this shot is more difficult than a 100 yard shot ? Well I just did. You aren't feeling an elk's breath @ 100 yards for starters.
@@michaelrosa5410 I don't think he had the luxury of choosing whether it was old enough or not, he was in the middle of the only trail and as soon as the bull hinted movement he took the shot.
@@luisdelpozo9674 Don't kid yourself. This guy would have maybe run him off if he didn't like him, i'm confident. I'm not an elk guy, but friends who have hunted elk for years can usually tell a better animal by his bugling ? How ? I have no idea, it's what i've heard and been told.
@michaelrosa5410 It's the exact opposite. It will shoot low at that distance, not "high" as you said, but low. If you don't believe me. Listen to Cam again. 13:07
Rihana Cary is a badass, gotta give props to her for enduring all this along side you !!! She needs her own lift run shoot, even though she’s filming it haha
Congrats Cameron. I've harvested many an elk, but none yet with my bow. Got my first deer with a bow last year and we're in elk and deer rifle season right now. You DID put in the work and good to see you reap the reward! Thanks for sharing the experience with us!
This is a dream of mine to one day afford a trip out there with my daughter and son together. We all just started bow hunting last year. You are an inspiration keep it coming.
I love this man and I love what he stands for. Great job young lady, you don't get Cams respect unless you are for real. Thanks a ton for sharing!!! Wonderful footage! Thanks again! Bret Martin, CEO and FOUNDER of Mom and Pop Business Funding.
Great hunt, great footage by some great people. It's very powerful to watch someone do what they love, and it is obvious that Cameron loves doing this. Spiritual or at least close to it. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
Cam your the best!! That was crazy close but if anyone can do it and has trained for it you have!!! Can’t believe the heart shot with the broad head?? Super sick!!!!! Bucket list hunt!!
The video shot of y’all praying over the animal is what it’s all about. God allowed y’all to harvest that animal to feed you families….i respect yall thanking him and honoring the animal. Job well done..!!
You usually hunt Northern Utah or Southern Utah? Just got back from Southern Utah and had an amazing time playing with Elk. Even had a few days were we ran into Big Horn at about 12,000 Feet. Guess they planted them in about 20-25 years ago. Amazing country. Incredible videos and love seeing your skill and patience as an expert bow hunter. Can't get enough of your content.
Dude you are such a goat. At what point in time do you think, okay, I’ve passed up multiple 300 class bulls, I need to just take the next 6 point I get the opportunity at? That’s gotta be one of the toughest decisions. Love the bull. Love the footage. Well done Cam.
You should work on closing that distance. Love the irony, a guy that can make an ethical kill shot twice most archers' distance, makes the shot at less than 2 yards. Nice work Cam and Team. #RoyStrong
This looks like the nicest terrain for elk hunting. Very mild, can see pretty good, not rugged, elk everywhere, appears to be unpressured. My guess is it’s private land. Cam has an elite workout ethic but showcases videos with the easiest of hunting. I would like to see him do some hardcore Idaho public land hiking/hunting super high pressure/quiet elk like the rest of us are doing.
From following Cam for a while this is what I've assessed, for the first 20 years Cam hunted exclusively OTC, mainly backcountry hunts. Through the years he's developed relationships with people, and now has access to some of the most epic elk counrty a hunter could imagine, and he takes advantage of those opportunities.
Hahahah is that truetts wife behind the camera? That was my favorite part! I just called you in a fuckin bull!! Dam I'm ready for 2024 elk season already! Beautiful hunt love my home state of Utah wish we all could hunt those big bulls but spikes are sometimes just as fun 😀 would love to see a bag dump of items you use and what you take on a day hunt or 3 day hunt ect!

2 yards?! Hell, you may as well have just invited him for dinner and had the fella cook his own backstraps.. 😅
It’s soo awesome to watch Cam hunt , been watching him for decades and as hard as he prepares , he treats everyday like elk season !! Props…Cam
Cam you are the reason for so much good in my life right now. you are my catalyst.... thankyou eternally brother

I don't bow hunt, but could you almost not even adjust the sight and instead look at the path of the arrow?

Outstanding, God bless you brother
Photo of Cam holding the elks heart with his arrow in it is a photo to keep forever
What hunting pack and bino harness system is Cam using? Looks like a Special collab with Origin?
It's so sad to see you hunting those beautiful, majestic animals...without ME!🤣🤣
thank you Cam for sharing it's a blessing and your appreciation for God's creation is a true inspiration.
Is this an OTC tag for Utah? Just wondered since you have been able to hunt Utah every year for so long. I’m assuming so with Access to private land?
I can't imagine the rush from Elk hunting. This is insane...5-6 feet from an Elk in the wild! Holy smokes insane.
It's coming right for me!
Wait when did you switch broadheads? What'd I miss?
Fun looking hunt! Congrats!
Cam, do you doing any calling? In this video it doesn’t show you calling…just curious

where did you hunt this in Utah ? public or private ?
Damn that was intense! Such an awesome experience. What ranch do you guys hunt in Utah?

Is this on a CWMU?
Definitely, they are hunting private.
What brand Camo is that? It blinds in really good!
