as old as i am, you are helping me to decide what to buy and use together for fun, like you say music can't cure a virus be it can lift the spirits, and helps to escape the madness of this world and avoid the crazy people out their, thanks mate
That's great to know, thank you. I think if the crazy people out there discovered music-making they'd probably chill out, and the world would be all the better for it.
Fantastic, and thank you for the other links of the how to. I think Behringer nailed it on the Pro-1, I have played both and the Behringer is a true win, regardless of the bad rap it gets by the Lexus and Mercedes crowd.
Always love your patterns. Great sound from Pro-1, too. Best bit was that clip of the little hawk, how lucky you are to see such things in your own garden! Take care
@@DreamsOfWires i like mine too, got this one and K2 too.. both have nice singing resonance (K2 even resonant hp filter) and the lpf doesnt loose bass with higher resonance which is nice for a change:)
A wonderful instrument. Great sound. Amazing composition. I love it!!! Great musical taste. A great musical event. Congratulations !!! Best regards and good health!
@@DreamsOfWires It's amazing. Had some trouble figuring out the problems with the "gatebug" or what its called. Totally unexperienced with synths. Been isolated for four months because of a back injury. Found a monotribe left behind by the former residents and got mesmerized. Guess i found a new hobby. :D
Just finished some decorating accompanied by listenng to Tangerine Dream ('lockdown' has its upside) ..this would have been just as good ...bravo ! Brilliant sequence and use of the Pro 1 Berlin style.
Oh man, you've just sold me a Pro 1. I have resisted until now. I will check the bank balance at the end of the month and if there's enough, I'm going to get it. Enough time has passed - I've put it off for far too long.
Thanks, you too. I've not had much chance to use it yet, but I think it's great so far, for the price especially. I've fancied having a Pro One for some years, but couldn't afford it, so I'm really glad they brought this one out.
Question for the masses. For drone/ambient chill wave style music, which would be better. I’m talking about the $300 Behringer line. Model d/neutron/cat/pro 1 etc. On paper, the majority have similar features. Just looking for opinions. I’m not a musician or can play a piano, just love the sounds. BTW I am leaning towards the Cat or Model D.
I would say the Neutron has the most flexibility as its patch bay can be used not only for re-routing its own signals but also as a flexible utility for other gear with eurorack i\o. It has no arpeggiator or sequencer though so you are going to need something to drive it (however you can drone with the VCA bias knob). It seems a little less immediate..whenever I jam with it it seems to fulfill a role of background craziness\atmosphere.This has to do with my settings obviously but it seems to lend itself to that. I just got the Pro 1 and am having a lot of fun learning it..it has a more direct feel to it and I find it easier to dial in a certain sound with it. It has a thicker, punchier sound to me than the Neutron and the filter is very responsive and wide. It has arp and sequencer plus a Drone switch (!). There is a mode where you can get the 2nd oscillator to drone 1 note (instead of following the notes being played) and by changing its pitch in relation to Osc 1 you can get some cool middle eastern sounding stuff going on. I also have the Crave. It is less feature-rich than either of the above but has its uses in my workflow. Another good filter and it's just very easy to operate (the upside to the "one-voice" model). Both the sequencer and arp are much deeper than on the Pro 1. You can also drone with a flick of a switch. Once you start patching the 3 together it becomes even better..the possibilities are endless! I am also hoping to get a Cat and\or Model D at some point. They just seemed slightly more niche than the ones I have and I was focused a lot on the patch points when deciding which to get first. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these units.
An old Focusrite. The Line6 still works for me, since I got fed up of Apple's iOS 'updates' making my iPad consistently slower and becoming incompatible with more non-Apple products, so I stopped updating it.
I have a few, the Deepmind for sure. 2600 is awesome, but you don't obvs have presets. Neutron is nice, but I'd say it's a later purchase. Again, DM is worth every penny.
I bought Pro-1, K-2 and Neutron and offical rack to mount them in. I haven't sussed them out yert, but the Neutron seems to be the coolest of those 3 so far!
I think the Pro-1 and the Neutron are my favorites. My 2600 is not used very often. But an Effect Appliance is important. I use the Behringer FX2000. So don't forget the effects. Without you never get the real feeling.

Perfect Berlin School with warm sounds. Very nice.
Thank you very much, glad you thought so.
First actually good demo of what this thing can do. amazing.
Thank you very much :)
Brilliant mastery of the Pro1.
Thank you very much.
At least you'er playing it...that's what sold me.
First demo in which I actually like the sound of this, wonderful job, thank you!

You are the king of 'less is more'. Excellent as always.
Thanks for that George.
Bravo! You always manage to create the most beautiful, ethereal sounds out of every instrument you use :)
That's very kind praise indeed, thank you very much.
Beautiful soundscape, beautiful sequence and beautiful sparowhawk!
Thank you very much, the bird definitely wins.
Ged?
Very nice jam! This synth produces sooooo many great sounds.
Best sounding Behringer re-do IMHO.
Thank you very much.
Hört sich genial an , superklasse.
Vielen Dank.
THIS is by far the best Sound Preview Video of the Pro-1
Thank you very much.

Thank you, that's nice to know. Yeah, very lucky, I love seeing the wildlife. Take care.
thats really cool, simple and gorgeous!
Thank you very much
A very delicate touch - very musical. Thanks for sharing !
I'm glad to hear that, thank you.
oh wow, great idea with that keyboard control switching.. never thought of that lol..
great as always
Thank you very much. To be honest, when I recorded this I still hadn't figured out what many of the switches do, it's an unusual beast.

Ah, I'd like the K2 also; I liked the MS20 Mini, it was great for drones, but I prefer the module format.
Lovely Berlin school touches in this track. Very satisfying!
Thank you very much, glad it hit the spot.
Goosebumps!

Ich denke der Pro-1 wird sehr unterschäzt.

Thank's for this. My pro-1 was shipped yesterday and i'm expecting it tomorrow. Superexited!

Yes ... these are Strange Days my friend... when the Eagle is hunting pigeons in our homes...a dose of mortality in your music.
You have a certain way with synths, subtlety and patience 🎧🎹🎹🎧
Thank you very much, those are qualities I aim for.
Beautiful, this certainly puts Pro One on my wish list :D

Sounds nice! I bought a Pro One when they first came out, wish I still had it.

The sequence reminds me somehow on the beginnings of J. M. Jarre. Well done 👍
Thank you very much.
This is awesome, sort of reminds me of Mass Effect. Sounds great, keep the music coming!

You had me at Arp - but wildlife photography…? 🦅❤️🔥
Well done homage! I saw Tangerine Dream live back in the day. I will be ordering a Pro-1.
Thank you. I still haven't heard much TG, but a lot of Klaus Schulze, but I'd have loved to see either back then.
DreamsOfWires I’d suggest TD’s Rubycon as a great place to start

Apart from the reverb is this all just from this 1 instrument not multi tracked? How are you changing the key of the arp? Sounds ace.
It's OK I read the description 🙂 sound mega mate, thanks.

changes like JMJ
mood like TD
footage NIN style
relly good work and you have a very fine taste
Thank you very much.
is that with the latest firmwear patch?
Oh bliss! You make the best Berlin School Wayne, really nice this one. Was this really one-take live?
Thank you very much. It was, but I kept it pretty simple, just one sequence and not changing the sound too significantly.
👏👏👏
Sounds great! The effects are analog or software?
Does this track have a title? Very cool stuff.
Thank you very much. No title, just taken from this: ua-cam.com/video/pKW_e1kc03M/v-deo.html

Beautiful! Which one do I choose.. the Pro-1 or the goshawk? Thanks for uploading.
I'd choose both ;) Thanks for watching.
👏 really stupid question sorry. How do you get such an amazing stereo sound from this
It's ok, not stupid. It's just the effects used in the description, but I can't remember how I configured them.
How do the knobs feel? Slippery or firm? Thanks! Great music.
Thanks, they seemed ok.
Folk with Pro 1... does it stay in tune?
Good question! I had the original and had to keep a guitar tuner hooked up to it at all times because it drifted out of tune so much.
SuPeR! 😎👍
Thank you
Just plain perfect. What all do you have the pro-1 ran through?
Thank you very much, it's in the desctiption
