I came across the book 'Consciousness is Everything' by Swami Shankarananda in a secondhand bookstore in Melbourne and I cannot express how much it has changed my life.
Reverend Eslam i think what is being referred to here is monism, which is a philosophical school more than a religion. Usually in the form of there is only matter and consciousness is a mere epi-phenomenon of matter. I'm not saying i adhere to that at all, but that's the point. Advaita is also a form of monism in that it says only consciousness is and the appearance of something like matter is just an appearance in consciousness. Diametrically opposed of course haha
