FYI - the standard colour designations in the wiring regulations when using 3-core&E cable specify Permanent Live as 'Brown', Switched Live as 'Black with Brown sleeving' and Neutral as 'Grey with Blue sleeving.
Yeah you just disconnect the neutral and use an electric tester to find the constant live. Then switch power to the boiler off and connect the one that was live to the L, the other to the SL and the neutral just needs taping up and pushing back into the box. Most thermostats only need the L and SL these days now
Professional wiring... but where is the rubber ring in the hole that prevents wires sleeves from being cut throuh when moving them? It's a risk of being electricuted when touching metal case.
Would be few magnitudes higher quality content, if als short exlaining, how this item actually wor. When it contact or breaks circuit and why. Also using too small screwdriver and damaging screwheads gives poor feeling regardind professionalism
Ok.I need some technical details. It looks like your new thermostat is self powered but some use batteries as a back up.I need one that is totally self powered. Is this one of them? My present analogue is a two wire also. It appears to be just an on or off switch switching with the rise or fall temperature. So what type exactly do I need please?

Why are you using grey as a live and black as a neutral. This video should be removed. You’re teaching bad habits. This is so dangerous
So you used crimp connectors, but couldn't even be arsed using the correct sizes. Hope you aren't a trainer anywhere!

You have wired this wrong as it says on the plastic flap No3 is live and youve put the live on No1

Please! look again at what your terminal numbers are for. Also Grey should be neutral with a blue sleeve. I say this to you with the greatest respect.
