Thanks for this . Tried multiple times and then finally succeeded. There is bug in iOS as Widgy doesn’t appear when you try to add the customisation as widget . You need to restart the fone once to see Widgy.

Hi, i have a question. When I add action layer i dont see the list of actions what you are showing. It only giving me 4 options - Widget action, Play sound, vibrate, external account. Do I need to purchase something to unlock it?
So it won’t work in transparent mode if you have different backgrounds based on focus, or if you have night and day mode?
Great video, I learned a lot from it! One question - is it possible to change the calendar to start from Monday? That’s how my brain is wired and the Sunday-first convention is a bit confusing. Thanks!

Two things: curiously I couldn't load your widget with the link in description, maybe because I had managed to download the one indicated in your previous video, but with your instructions I was able to do it and customise it. I have a preset that I use for my videos but I try to keep it as close to reality as possible.
I followed the steps but when I get to adding the symbols for the weather it doesn’t show.
How do you get accurate weather data on Widgy? I have both iOS and Widgy weather set for location, and Widgy is about 20 degrees higher most of the time!
Awesome video brother. I been using Widgy for a while. I love it. I hate that we can’t remove widget names on iPhones but on iPads widgets don’t even have names. It’s kind of annoying.

Hey when it comes to the weather, is it constantly off on your end? Mine shows 66 degrees on the widget but when I go in the weather app it shows 60. Not sure if this will calibrate eventually or it is what it is and it’s just constantly off

Recently, I’ve had major issues with the temperature values in the app. It is more than 10F off from the correct value for my area in Southern California. It is not a widgy problem but an issue at the Norwegian weather site that widgy pulls its weather information from. Have you seen anything like this? Since we don’t have the ability to choose other weather sites, the widget has become useless to me as far as weather is concerned.
How to you rename your widget. I can’t find control for that anywhere

That’s because the app (Widgy)opens in order to refer you to the calendar app

No need to use a shortcut Chris. Go to Tap Action -> Custom Actions -> Open App and search for the app you want to open. If you have it installed, it should work just fine.

Love your videos mate but if i can only suggest slowing down a little when explaining the step by step guide especially when jumping around the different menus.
I have watched it in an uncountable time, I have not been able to get anything. Your observation is very apt, he should slow down a bit for those of us of age who still wants to roll with the younger ones in terms of tech gizmos. I love the finishing of his calendar widgets.
Hi I like your videos and great content. However, even after slowing down the video playback you’re clicking so fast that it is hard to follow. I would prefer your voice over to include where your clicking. Eg. “I then select the calendar option to go back to transparency then adjust the alpha values.’ I gave up because it’s too much trying to see where you go in the menu and then follow putting in the adjustment values. Right now the speed you’re moving at is for someone familiar with all the locations and menu items in the Widgy app.

Great tutorial, but I have a problem with the background.
I have an iphone 14 pro max, I took a screenshot to put it as a background (wallpaper) and the application shows me the information: It looks like you selected an image that isn't an iphone iPa ... not supported. Tryagain with a diffrent image. Can you help me wuth this issue?
That's a weird issue with Widgy Widgets. Wait for an update or try re-installing the app. Hopefully this will help.

I really like the app. I have a question. If I buy the "premium" version in my iPhone, is there any chance that I could sync my payment with my iPad ? Or I have to buy it in both devices ?
I think you can use the same account, but I believe there are additional iPad features that can be unlocked (I can't confirm on top of my head).

my weather has randomly changed from Celsius to Fahrenheit but when i look at it in widgy it's still in Celsius
I deleted my first widget and started again, went much smoother I was able to create the widget. my second problem was inserting the transparent background could not make it work.. Tried for 30 minutes to no avail.
I cannot see the widgy widget app on the App Store.
You are not the first one to comment on this. It makes me think it was temporary rejected due to an update or a new feature they are trying to release

I still can't get the transparent background to work. When I attempt to apply the dummy image by selecting set transparent background and clicking add wallpaper in dark and light mode, the image never changes. I never see "generating image" after selecting the checkmark in the top right-hand corner. please help
I honestly can’t remember if that specific widget has a transparent in general. If it doesn’t it won’t work.

Seems like the transparency thing does either not work under iOS 16 or the iPhone 14 (Pro). Widgy can’t recognize my picture as a screenshot or it’s just not supported.

E- I cannot get this widget to display as transparent. the layer I have on the bottom is Image and it is below calendar, Symbol, Text for Temperature and 2 tap actions. The final layer is image added just as instructed. Still won’t display as transparent though. Thoughts?
Did you select the transparent image from the manage tab?

It was briefly taken down. It should be there now.
So I’ve tried this several times. After adding screenshot image it completely covers the calendar turning widget into an invisible widget. Any ideas why?
Add the image
Then new layer of the calendar
Make sure that it’s not the first layer. You’ll have to make it the second layer (or after, depending on your setup) so that the numbers sit “on top”.

Hahaha, this is so amazing as is everyone who managed to follow this video!!! Honestly you are all very intelligent, possibly computer types? Not sure. Perhaps like a body builder who pumps muscle until they look awesome in the mirror. Screen builders? App builders? This could actually become a new form of employment if it isn’t already. Pumping a whole series of buttons on a screen until the app is too your liking. How’s that sound🤓 This app looks amazing, very detailed, highly complex. I just can’t stop chuckling to myself. Is there a widgy app for dummy’s? Guessing not. Until then I’ll stick to stock standard. Actually what I should say is I haven’t really got a choice, I have to stick to stock standard 😊 But that’s cool 👍 There definitely are so many different types of people out there, which is great!!! Go to the manage tab on widgy and click on widgy/watchy settings, scroll until you find the first day of the week button and then select the day you want :)
