    You’re the man 👍 thanks for the video. Popped out my piston while doing my breaks on my sq5, this video gave me confidence can probably just put dust boot on without even removing the caliper off the car 😎

    What surprises me in such rubber seal part is that it withstand the hydraulic pressure to stop an entire car while being a flexible part.

    my 2014 caliper boots on the rear seemed like they were glued on to the point that I had to cut and scrape the old boot off to put the rebuild kit boot on has anyone else had this problem and how do you get the new boots to stay in place

    These calipers need to be restored and painted, they look disgusting! But that would obviously be another lengthy job.
    Good video showing that part of restoration specifically. What I would have done differently to avoid splashing brake fluid all over though, is to first remove the caliper with its piston (after pinching the brake hose to prevent leakage) and then, using an air compressor, to inject air behind the piston where the brake fluid usually is. With this method, the piston goes out and you don't make a mess with the brake fluid, but it requires an air compressor.

    Just did same with front calipers on 2011 lexus is250 . Rightside piston froze and ruined rotor.
