  • Seed Haul 2023
This is my second favorite video to shoot in the off season. First thing I love to do is veg out with the seed catalogues. Second is shopping and receiving all the goodies. I love these seed catalogues. I have only one complaint with "seeds n such", there are no pictures on their packets. for their prices, I thing they should either give more seeds or put a pic on the packet.
I am grateful to do what I do and I am happy you have joined me in the adventure.

My name is Michelle and my 2 Yorkies Molly and Sasha and I live in the western suburbs of Chicago. I am in zone 5B and I have 4 gardens in my portfolio. 1 Garden is at my Church, (Ginger Creek Community Church). 1 Garden is at my residence. I call this garden Wilson. 1 Garden is My community garden that I founded called Batavia Community Garden. And 1 Garden is in Geneva that I call Geneva (est 2022). I have had a urning passion to since 2018 to “GROW FOOD AND FEED PEOPLE!” The only way I knew how to do that was to create 4 gardens in my community. In these 4 gardens we can grow food, feed people, educate, enlighten, encourage and make more people aware of the new wave of growing your own food. I feel blessed everyday to do what I love and never work a day in my life. I do my best to shoot a garden tour of all the gardens every month between May - October. In the off garden season, I do all I can to still share educational/informational videos on seed saving, indoor gardening, worm farming, fall clean up, fall garden prep, cooking videos or remodeling videos. Then in March, its back to the grind with seed starting. If there is anything you would like for me to give you content on, I am always open to suggestions in the comment box below. If you find my videos entertaining or educational at all, or I piqued your interest, please consider subscribing to my channel. Hit the “LIKE” thumbs up and the notification bell. That is the easiest way to support me and my channel. (and that is free) Take a trial run with me on my channel. I know you will not be disappointed. Please have a peek at my Facebook pages and Instagram as well.

This is my GoFundMe video 2022. I am asking all my friends that understand my obsession with "growing food, & feeding people" to help me make a huge impact in my 4 gardens this 2022 season. There are things we can buy that will make the gardens even that much better. However, me being a "One Man Show" when it comes to financial support of my household, can’t always splurge. So, I thought since this was the first Birthday I can actually celebrate, (no quarantine, facemasks and restaurants are actually finally open) I thought I would do so and invite all of you to the DONATION PARTY. Please Please Please Like and share my video. Please consider subscribing so you can see what your donations will be doing to help so many families in our community. Any and all help is so greatly appreciated.

Tomatoes and beans are self pollinating so unless you have hover flies which are a native bee in some areas so your saved tomato seeds should be pure unless hybrid.

Hey there. I cover the blossom clusters with a mesh baggie. I found the money Amazon. They're 4 inches by 6 in with a drawstring. As soon as the fruit sets I cut the bottom off the bag and leave the entire bag on that branch with that fruit so I know that I have saved those blossoms from being cross-pollinated with anything else.
      Where are you watching from?

I will grow over 30 varieties this season and I will plant one of each of them in my home garden so I can make CERTAIN to save these heirlooms. I tried last season at my church garden but it was too hard to manage that many varieties. I also like to walk by and hit the mesh baggie everyday to shake the pilot around in the bag so it will set fruit quicker. That's hard to do with a garden that's not on my property. I lived and learned. I will shoot a video about this as well.
