Jog wheels are stiff. You can forget about doing spin back effect. The crossfader is flimsy, too loose, and cheap plastic, and the crossfader curve setting to Sharp is not accurate. The Sharpsetting just doesn't seem to be enough. Pads are nice but, if try to hit them repeatedly it seems less responsive. I got this controller and it's really not designed for a scratch DJ. If you just want to twist knobs and play with effects then this is your creature!. Perhaps in another iteration of the S3, Native Instrument or the new company will incorporate effect paddles and tension adjust for the jog wheels.
Paying with iPad it's really cool function. It's looks like your controller have build in big screen. If on the side of the interfaces or on top there would be a stand (a small recess or notch) for the iPad - it would be awesome. You can tell little bit more about input/output interfaces. Sorry for my English.
I heard NI have laid off 150 staff, due to streamlining and centralizing software issues. If true I'm out. www.factmag.com/2019/09/04/native-instruments-layoffs/
@@CCooke-fq3et thanks man yeah I got one! I ended up buying technics eventually and building up my record collection again so I barely use it now but I’m glad i got it
Can you tell me how to control master tempo with S3? I have the manual but it seems that its not explained quite well. For example if you want all decks to be locked to master tempo, and when you changing master tempo manualy all decks are playing in the same value. Thanks :)
As far as I know, you can not do it with any of the S3 knobs, you can only do this with your mouse/key-board. In Traktor Pro 3 -> Underneath the top center bpm display (MASTER CLOCK TEMPO display) off-click "auto" and on-click "master". Change the number by typing in a new number or use the small plus/minus to change it.
@@ossieb8587 that is what i think too. there is a thing that you can lock all tracks to play for example as deck A, and if you are changing speed with pitch all tracks are playing the same speed, but master tempo can not be changed with knob. its not big problem but having that option on actual controller would be very helpful. i do not like to use neither mouse or keyboard while i am playing music.
@@nikola.drumski I know that you can map a lot in the preferences - controller manager. Maybe you can map the slider of deck A to the master tempo, but I have only seen the videos about mapping and not played with myself (yet ;-)
The S4 has the better sound card, but i am getting a S3, the new 48kHz in the S2 and S3 is still good, you need a really fast laptop to run 96kHz anyways or you could lag, and the S3 is 18.7db with the XLR output that is pretty loud. the TRAKTOR S5 is 20 db, one of the reasons why i kept it.

The plug you thought was from Asia is a British plug ☺️
Which is also used across Asia ☺️
I also picked up on that honest ignorance from a lack of experience too.
I just bought a mk3 when I plug the power it comes on for a split second then no power any suggestions
Lol, the only clubs that don’t mind you not using the house CDJ’s are usually the clubs that pay you in a $20 bar tab.

Just picked one up. I used to spin vinyl back in the day and have been itching to get back into it. How accurate are the pitch faders?
pitch faders are great, and totally customizable. I use traktor, but i think most SW let you tweak that. hope i got to you in time
