Remembering Patriarch Torkom Manoogian

On Sunday, December 2, 2012, the Holy Trinity (Cheltenham, PA) family enjoyed a wonderful video presentation on the life and funeral of His Beatitude Archbishop Torkom Manoogian, 96th Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem who passed away at the age of 93. The video was lovingly prepared by Dr. Garo Garibian who narrated it, over a background of sharagans of Gomidas Vartabed

When i was 4 years old my family and i visited Armenia. The patriarch was there.My father and him go way back. My brothers and i were running wild like animals. He said in Armenian."What are my friends bastards doing here." ? It was funny. As i grew a little older he would visit our church in Binghamton N.Y. He would playfully hit me on the head when he saw me.I was generally afraid of most grown ups but The Patriarch always made me laugh and put me at ease. As u no he was good with children.
