I bought one myself for my off grid setup. The fertilizer is perfect for hydroponic solution or soil conditioner. The gas is abundant. The toilet we got with it is a splendid addition. Only problem is compressing methane gas for storage. 600psi is no small task. Haven't figured that one out yet.
But isn't the critical pressure of methane is just shy of 700 psi? I would guess it would be important to push the condensed gass through a heat exchanger to cool it off to make compression more efficient.
@OleHenrikKvammen Cooling the gas is one method I have read about for methane compression. I have not yet spent much time attempting to work this problem so ideas are most welcome! Dry ice could get the temp fairly low but not low enough to substantially decrease the compression requirement as far as I know.
Use a compressor with a pressure regulator, and a psi check valve to prevent backflow. Start the compressor and ensure connections with soapy water. Use a rated tank. Don't really need 600 psi to be honest. Use an old propane tank or something of the ilk. Don't over fill.
if you pipe this gas into your home make sure you buy a co detector biogas may not have any or enough odor if leaks. piped nat gas or propane has Mercaptan compounds, added
natural gas is made up of mostly methane so would be good to plumb the same as for natural gas with all the same precautions. do annual inspections or every 6 months depending on set up for leaks and other issues, would also be good addition to the co detector too.
Ok, but woudl this system work in countries that are up North. The fermentainion procces needs heat, that is deliveried to it by the sun in areas specified in this video, but would the gas be still produced for example in Denmark, or Northern US? I'm just courius if you could aplly that in region I live
Yes. The efficiency and the rate of output from biogas plants will be lesser compared to warm countries. In experimental work at University of Alaska Fairbanks, a 1,000 litre digester using psychrophiles harvested from "mud from a frozen lake in Alaska" has produced 200-300 litres of methane per day, about 20 to 30% of the output from digesters in warmer climates.
Everyone knows its not waste the problem is people are lazy and dont want to do the work... you could power your house for free and have water for free you just have to set up the system...most people want someone else to do the work for the

As a non-profit sustainable development organization, I would promote the Israeli luxury hotel waste management FREE, please make sure they show us how hotels and other businesses can convert their waste like the Israeli hotel, we could do it in a lot of countries, does anyone have more information about this?
no offence to the system, it's a good system, i would like to buy one. having said that, i don't think that would work on mars. mainly because of the surface temperature and air pressure.
Great!. Indeed combating global warming and climate change starts with our individual efforts in reducing GHG emissions by managing our food waste in a sustainable way with the biogas technology. I am writing from Nigeria ,Delta state, i am skeptical about materials used for the "inflatable tent" will it be suitable for us given our weather condition?

I believe these types of products are important for our collective future. But to promote an israeli product and then talk about the 'humanitarian aid' they give the west bank and gaza is at best insensitive and at worst cruel. Aid from israelis equates to cement poured down Palestinian wells! I hope china makes a better version as well. Or that any of the african companies that make similar systems will sell internationally. BDS and FREE PALASTINE!

Thank you for this comment, I've been looking for whether or not someone has figured that out yet.
@@Czarewich Not that I have found. I even looked into converting it to propane but still digging. There must be a simple solution somewhere...

I love it. My office in Bali is using this Homebiogas product.
So nice...
I wish we had a company in South Africa that made these. Unfortunately the exchange rate makes this impossible for us here.

Could the gas be used for heating as well?
"Home Byogas" LMAO
I love Home By Yogus.
Could you adapt this to power a furnace? You would have to have a pump to pressurize it and have different orifice
You can power anything you want, just put some adaptation work on it.
I don't think you need to pressurize it. ??
@@ronirios3377 Yes you do, if the presure drops to low its gonna burn in the tubing or just stop burning creating a explosion hazard.
@@temerenomine9698 I'm glad you told me this! Thanks

How long does it take to fill with poop? Even septic tanks need to be pumped

I absolutely LOVE THIS ❤!!!!
🥰🥰🥰
How does it work in cold climates?
It doesn't.
Yes it does.Dig a hole in a ground fill with wood chips abuot 3ft deep and make green house over it
and in winter?
how it's different from anaerobic digester bag ?
What type of material is it?
UV protected Polyethylene and Polypropylene.
The Time has come for something like this .... talking about use tech so solve to so many issues! Great Job !
Glad it was helpful!
Iove this idea. Great job!
Glad you like it!
Does is work in cold climate
Awesome 👌
Thanks 🤗
It's so expensive. Hopefully a company from china will sell a cheaper version for this.
Even though it's expensive, it is best in quality and practicality. 😀
If you compare what you pay for natural gas, it pays itself off. For 1000 plus dollars, it isn't expensive
Where I live it would pay for itself in 3 years.
I'll buy quality
How much is it?
It's mad what we consider "waste" actually isn't!
