      It's quite impressive for this price point. My tests on the sun were amazing, same with the moon, Andromeda, Orion, and I'm also making a video for the microscope. It's really good for such a tiny device. I'm taking it everywhere with me so I always have something to do. :) Day or night

    The only issue is while the lenses have an inbuilt heater, having the filters on the outside will fog up, and dew up, making them usesless

    • @AstroDragon33
      @AstroDragon33 Рік тому

      Great comment! Actually, if you can believe it, the heat easily transfers to the filter because of the metal filter holder that is flush and touching the lens. The filter rings are metal too. The little space between the filters glass and the dwarf lens glass keeps a little pocket of heat. The heat gun shows this. Crazy cool actually! Not sure if that was intentional or not

    Thanks for the video. My concern is that people who ordered the scope from the kickstarter-type websites and the Dwarflab website have not received their scope that were paid for many months ago. We are tolerating the company using our money but not delivering. I ordered a Vespera from Vaonis in December 2021 for delivery in the Spring of 2022. October 2022 came and went with no scope. Then Vaonis increased the price by $1000 and started delivering to retailers. When contacted, Vaonis could not tell me when my fully paid scope would be delivered. As always, buyer beware.

    • @AstroDragon33
      @AstroDragon33 Рік тому +2

      I agree, they should do there best to have a relatively precise date range for first deliveries. It is interesting but all kickstarters are like this. It's a huge gamble starting a company or a product, you never know if you will get backing in time. But, once they have the money to make it work, they should be able to get a solid delivery date with the data and money raised, knowing how many orders they can fulfill, what's needed and what limitations are. At first they said deliveries in December, but now it's spring, so I feel bad for the buyers, but again, startups are very difficult, and manufacturing is very difficult. It takes time to send the product back and forth, fixing, tweaking, and getting materials right. Communication between the developing team and manufacturer is so important, and sometimes there are language barriers, so imo, I understand either side. But damn, they've made a great product for a great price.

      @JohnMark61355 Рік тому

      Thank you. I understand that kickstarter-type payments are an investment in the company and a risk. However, Dwarflab is charging the full price well before shipping on their website too. With that said, I could not help it😊; such a cool product, so I did order one so I am hoping for the best. I am guessing I’ll get it this Fall.

    dont buy it. It is a cheap camera with no stabilization .. exactly what you most need in low light conditions. You cant even keep it still on the table. lol. Just get the version with stabilizer your friends will love it. too.

    • @AstroDragon33
      @AstroDragon33 Рік тому +6

      Hi. Stabilization? Are you familiar whatsoever with photography? First, there is no version of the Dwarf II with a stabilizer. This is a good thing! The only time you want stabilization is for daytime video, but you absolutly want to turn it off in settings for Astro imaging i.e. on a Canon DSLR. Just fyi, there are ZERO dedicated astronomy cameras with stabilization. That's the point! You don't want stabilization with astro-imaging because it would just create shaky star-trails and destroy the image instantly.
      Yeah, my folding plastic table is shaky. I wasn't trying to"kee" it still, but I appreciate the comments, have a great week!

      @@AstroDragon33 Yes i am very familiar with photography and pixels in general. I would not say the same thing about Astrophotography all tho i have just a tiny bit of me trying to photo the moon with a 110 mm telescope with everything manual and i used a DSLR to make really nice sharp photos of the moon. But that was not much interest for me as i noticed that the movement of the earth is making things a bit difficult. However. I think a go pro 11 combined on this telescope will actually be a useful tool. But they way things are I am looking at, are just not worth it. For people who wants to buy something they will want quality over this. So they will buy a cannon camera I'm not sure witch one but it has a built in telescope with stabilizer and you can record the space from your hands. Are you telling me that knowing this will not make your viewers think your cheating them ? They don't want the bs. They expect you to provide good reliable information. To me this is just a simple toy overrated. check this random clip i found to show you ua-cam.com/video/fr8RUkLmiNQ/v-deo.html
