Hell yeah, a clean shop is a happy shop. It helps getting the productive juices flowing.
Its great to see the evolving shop and the collection of tools growing. Less hassle and more efficient when you got the right tools.
I recently acquired a small little cart from an old restaurant going out of business. It's stainless steel and has casters, two lower shelves and a top working surface with a 2 inch lip around the back and both sides. it makes a great parts cart and is very handy to wheel around the garage. It has really become the mvp and my best friend when working on anything.
Thanks for the inspo, now I'm going to clean and organize my garage. My girlfriend is always saying, "I feel like you're always cleaning the garage"
And I would have to agree. Its a constant battle to try and stay clean and organized.
I have watched your channel for a while, and how you have grown is an inspiration for me, as I presently work out of a small, real small shop for now. Great job!!!
Thanks for watching
Love the garage! One thing I do is put casters on ALL my cabinets and shelves. Makes it super easy to move, clean, and organize them. Makes it especially nice in limited space.
Excellent Video! Since I retired I’ve been restoring vintage Japanese bikes. So far I’ll restored a 1975 CB360, 1977 XS650, 1981 GL1100 and a 1972 SL175. Your channel has been a great resource and you’re an inspiration. Thank you. Bob Hammaker
Hey bud I have a suggestion for you - put up a plastic drop wall between you fab section and your build section to keep the dust and grime away from your assembly area. :Your don't want to get metal chips, and grim into your rebuilt parts. Keep them clean is the key. Later
I think this is the first video I've seen from this channel but I'm hooked! I'm about to go watch all your videos and I would love to see a toolbox tour in the future!
Finally a review of a garage where actual work is done!
Too many “workshops” where no work is ever done.
Make 3/4” plywood bottoms for all your heavy stuff With a Kreg jig and put casters on them. - having the ability to easily pull and push 3,4,500 pound units was the biggest improvement in efficiency I ever did in my shop.
Great idea. Thanks!
Great set up. Congrats!
Nice workshop. I don’t know what I’d do without my bike lifts and all of my workbench space. Enjoy your shop.
Mike
Thanks for the tour of your work shop
Sure makes you realize how much goes into restorations and maintenance.
I'd watch a tool box tour
Definitely.
Me too
The place looks great, Taylor. Love that 1950's saw. Nice patina on that thing. I may have to send you some carbs at some point for vapor blasting.
Super cool! Would love a tour of the toolbox and tools!
Love the workshop!! Great job man!
With the epoxy coating for floor the prep is the key. Must get all oils and fluids out of concrete then should last a while. Good luck
I don't know why you don't have more subscribers...
I love your stuff and just wait you will end up over 1 million in the future. Keep it up!
Thanks Doug!
Looks good. Thanks for showing us around your shop. Your KZ750 looks sweet :)
Thanks!
Awesome Taylor
You are my inspiration dude! Thank you for putting out these amazing videos.
Do you still run Classic Octane as a full time job or what are you up to these days? Miss your bike videos and restorations of old Hondas and Kawis!
Great tour.
3:05 how did you fit through there 😂. Seriously though, love the channel and love the way the shop is coming together. 👍
sideways action
Beautiful shop. Mine is a small one car garage, but it suits my needs. I do wish that I had more space to house more parts and projects though. Your video got my thinking :)
It looks like the Triumph bench is on wheels. I would suggest using one of the others to lift the bike then roll it on to the solid bench. Just a suggestion so that you can put a bike on it on our own.
thanks for advice
Looks awesome. I need some better organization in my garage too.
Nice shop!
Ahhh a cx500 engine.... could be a different build for ya! Would definitely watch 👌🏼
I hope to have a shop of my own someday
Could have sprayed the floor with lineX very cool shop
Some rig out you've got there man 👌🏻
What?
@@victorflores925 he has some setup
Awesome man, I've building my own shop and you're an inspiration for me, let me know if you have a 'internship' vacant :P, I'm able to do that a couple of months to learned more about this job, thanks and greetings from Mexico
Nice!
Good work shop
Ikea has decent cheap plastic bins for storage
You are not supposed to coat or tile a new pour for like 1-2 years for best results if I remember correctly
Would love to see some of the websites you use to help with your projects. Thanks for the great content.
Great workshop. What size welders do you have ? It's my first time watching your channel, but I will be back. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
What do you use for your workbench tops? Love the channel!
Hello from Guayaquil
Taylor, just recently found your channel and am loving it. I really like how well lit your shop is. Do you remember what brand/type of lightning you are using and where you got them? Thanks and keep up the good work!
What type of solvent do use in your parts washer?
7:58 wow I didn't know Americans could pronounce tubing in English, nice one
beefed it @7:13 . nice rip, carmine
nice!
But where's the paint booth?
great workshop, I get really jealous =)
keep it up (Y)
Curious to see where the bikes went.
What fluid do you prefer in the ultrasonic cleaner?
I use Berryman's carb cleaner. amzn.to/2MmBIPJ
How'd you setup the ceiling lighting? About to setup a shop of my own and I Don't want to run extensions across ceiling lol. Your setup is very clean all-around 💯
Dream garage😍
Beautifull cave! Like
What HP compressor are you running? I'm very interested in adding vapor honing to my shop and you seem to have this worked out already.
I have a 5hp with an 80 gallon tank.
Nice! Where did you get the mats? Thanks
What liquid do you use in your ultrasonic cleaner?
I use Berryman's carb cleaner. amzn.to/2MmBIPJ
Don't see the affiliate link to the ultrasonic. Is there a section within Amazon.com where you have all your affiliate link products? Keep up the great work!
amzn.to/2ShxKvy Here is a direct link. Thanks for watching!
what size is your ultrasonic cleaner?
Are you doing motorcycle carb rebuilds?
Yes, feel free to email me at ClassicOctane@gmail.com if you have some you need to get rebuilt.
What is the black mat on the top of the work bench?
Did u learn motorcycle engineer or car engineer? Or are all your skills self taught? Love the Videos!
I have some formal training and was a BMW factory technician for a number of years but most of what I know is self taught.
Your shop looks well lit. What kind of light fixtures and how many of them do you have?
amzn.to/2rnKZjm I used these off Amazon. I have 25 in total.
Hey mate, where did you get those helmet mounts?
I made them from threaded pipe from Home Depot.
taylor - love the series, i'm a relatively recent subscriber, i've got to change fork seals and refurbish the front brakes on my xj900f, could you refer me to a video that would cover it please?
I have a few videos like that on my channel. They are for CB550s though so they will be a bit different than your bike.
A CX500 Engine :o
Thanks for a great shop tour. How did you modify that engine stand to accept motorcycle engines located near the rear of your shop?
I show it in my upcoming video. Should be out before Christmas.
Hey there Taylor,do you fancy selling me the twin cap mustang fuel tank that’s above the sand blaster. I need one for my chopper project. Amazing work shop. I’ve got a 10’x5’ wooden shed. lol nice video.
I have the same Honda Flag
What was the cost of extending your garage back?
All I did was take out the wall to open it up. The add on was done back in the early 80s.
What did you use for your work surface on your "main" workbench (the black top work surface)?
Ikea countertop.
Chain fall, cribbing. Why waste good attic space 😁
I'd love that much space. My workshop for my 1978 Triumph is 9' x 6', and it has to share that space with a bicycle and my tools (I'm a retired car/truck mechanic with lots of them). You have to work with what you've got.

I like to build my garage like yours
I have an Endo mill for sale/trade for some work?
If you posted bikes for sale as you build them storage wouldn't be a problem.
I have been fortunate enough to sell all my projects before they are done. Usually to subscribers reaching out to me directly.
Nice dude! Keep killing it!
Please stop waving your hand in front of the camera.
Hey buddy great garage! Wish I could just have a bike lift! Never mind the set up you have! 😂 Anyway, I'm working on a 79 Honda gl 1000. I would love to see what you can do with one of those! Ever thought of making a gl 1000 cafe racer?
Definitely, I actually have a big Goldwing project in the works.
No kidding on the vapor blast machine. Did a fantastic job on the hubs, wheels, carbs, and other old, crapped out , age anodized looking parts on the 60s CB77 SuperHawk you restored for me. It sat for almost 20 years in ratty storage, and boy it came out sweet. I didn’t want a concours, better than showroom job, wanted some patina on a 50 year + old bike, and you did it right as to looks. Mechanically, it runs as good or maybe better now. Great result.
Roughly what am i looking to spend on the weekend worrier. Iv been looking at there small 700$ unit but think i will outgrow it quickly. And info would be great!
Nice shop you've got there. The only thing I would suggest is some posters on the wall of naked babes!
Guaranteed to increase your business by 100%! lol
Viktor Sligo - it’s Texas there. Clinton’s not welcome 😂
The window over my workbench actually looks directly into the master shower (weird remodel in the 80s) so all I have to do it wait until my wife is in there.
Nice vid, Taylor. You’ve come a long way from your previous garage. Nice to have all that extra room and storage!
🏍👍🏍
That kz is nice
Dig your shop!
Nice setup!
probably one of my favorite workshops
Lovely 👍👍
