To me, it seems that he is a pretty nice guy, he just doesn't know when to stop what he is saying. When he went on the show he made some comments that could easily offend, but that doesn't mean to say he wanted to hurt everyone's feelings or worse. By the looks of it, he just gets nervous and that's when he begins to say things without thinking, like he did on the show. I don't think Chelsea should have been too judgemental towards him on the date.. he tried to make conversation, was polite and apologised for what he said. And he clearly joked that it was an improvement when she was wearing the mask so although he said what he did before, that, I feel, would not make a person become more offended towards jokes that person then said, she seems to me like a person who gets offended easily sometimes (and we all saw the way he kept giving compliments, and she seemed to just fish for more). If anything it is her who made the date worse for herself because she was barely trying, being too stubborn to get past his slip ups and just get to know him despite that. Everyone makes mistakes, what is worse is that many people can be very judgemental towards those who even make the smallest of mistakes. What I'm saying is, although she has every right to keep in the back of her mind the things he said, she should not have used that so much against him, rather she should have found out a lot more about him and actually tried, and then later on decided whether or not he is as "bad" a guy as she was led to believe. You cannot judge someones entire personality and behaviour solely on one encounter (in a room full of many other people, where there was his unfortunate mouth malfunction), the best way to get to know someone is by talking to them in a more one-to-one way - which is exactly what the date side of this show is for.
