I watched a previous video you made about hair for gamines and got a haircut based on your tips before last christmas and I've been getting a lot of compliments everywhere.
I think colour seasons have way more to do with colour than body i.d. if you're a dark season your going to look terrible in a full light hair colour. Gamines look good in contrast but with using your own personal colour season.
I’m definitely FG, but my face is more dramatic/ classic/ ethereal ( that’s how I’m most often told) so I honestly feel like these FG hair styles almost never work for me. Is that a common issue where essences doesn’t match body type and should I chose hair for body type or essence? Thanks for any advice
I think that your face shape is even more important than both of them. Because your hair frames your face and the outline of your face gives you your charm.
Oh I feel this. Flam gam here with more natural romantic ethereal essence blend. When I was typed as FG years ago I chopped my hair into a cute bob & I never felt so unattractive 🤣 I offended my essence blend with that cut & then the color was more platinum blonde but on a True Autumn…😅 it was a bad time 🤣 I think for gamines it can be especially important to pay attention to your individual features and essence blend. More important than for other types due to the very nature of being a gamine (combination of opposites! & it can be any combination!).
I really enjoyed this video and all the examples especially Zoey, we can see how Kibbe's recommendations are spot on. She need to accommodate her cute and fun gamine look to really look at her best.
thank you, I'm quite obviously a flamboyant gamine (girlish face, sharp and wide but fine shoulders etc...); I don't feel feminine enough in a boyish hair cut but have good volume of hair, which is naturally a grayish dark warm blonde and which I highlights to be more blonde. i'm feeling I'm struggling with my hair color, as the mix between natural and highlights makes it look even more brassy. sometimes I feel I should try a full blonde bob cut awith a shadow root nd stop fiddling with balayage.
I'm FG and the roots need to be darker but i got grays a lot so doing grays dark and i love the blond colors, can't have any chemicals touching my scalp, i do at home highlights it is a lot of work to get it correct, in salon they don't care just slather it all on scalp i got such a hair loss after. It is expensive maintenace...to look good. i'm glad i seen this video helped to figure stuff out. I wanted also say that i dont agree with all one color for FG just roots dark, it makes the hair not have much movement and it is very much like fake wig+ sugar candy on the stick.
Hi Aly I have shoulder length orange pink dreadlocks but I’m thinking of adding more length longer dreadlocks what do you think? I’m a flamboyant gamine 🙂
i have a light curtain bang with long brown thick hair and it suits me very well. i don’t get the fact that FG need a boyish hairstyle. I think boyish hairstyle+ FG body is too much masculine !
