saying "art is my niche" is a very good way to answer this dilemma :D
I am so lucky to have a “niche” that allows for other things!
I draw dragons, mostly. I love them and there's such a variety to them! The people in that community don't really just like dragons though, they like warrior cats and video games and dnd, they create little worlds of fantasy creatures in their minds (as I do).
Whenever im commissioned its usually a dragon, as that's my strongsuit and what im most passionate about, but I am commissioned for so much more! I get to draw frogs and birds and people as well! Shark hybrids are frequent as well.
If you love what you're doing, don't care about drawing one thing, draw what makes you happy!
This is definitely something I struggle with too. I’m now 22: having been done with college for a year now and I still don’t know what art niche to settle in.
No pressure to figure it out now, just have fun! eventually youll fall into something you like :)
I’m about to go into college next year. I really hope that I can find an answer to this dilemma during it!
I'm 23 and in the same position, lots of different interests, lots of different art styles and on top of that I'm studying engineering 😅 I feel like I should focus on just one type of art and do just that, but to be honest I just want to keep exploring. Growing up is hard 😢
Keep exploring! You gotta be able to have fun with it or else youll get burnt out. Growing up is way too hard but we got this! Best of luck with your studies as well👏
