- In this video you can see how I made the breastplate for my Princess Celestia cosplay with Black Worbla. It's a rather old video, so there is no music nor a voice over. But I think the video can still be helpful because there will be a lot of techniques shown for detailing cosplay Worbla armor!
Learn more about working with Worbla and creating awesome details by downloading my Worbla book: www.joycedesign.nl/product/it...
If you want to learn even more about cosplay crafting and see how I created many of my cosplay costumes, then be sure to check out all the other E-books that I wrote. And you can even download quite a lot of the patterns that I made and used to make my own armors and props. There's even some sewing patterns to download here!: www.joycedesign.nl/product-ca...

I'm excited to see that Worbla can be sculpted into little figures and details like you have done. Cool ideas you used here.
Oh yes it can! Worbla is really amazing to use because it is so versatile. And you don't have to throw scraps away because you can reuse them :) It's amazing!
amazing! I can't wait to see some new worbla videos from you! I'm ALWAYS checking to see what new creation you have come up with! thank you for sharing and I hope you feel appreciated by your fans bc your work is fantastic!
Absolutely beautiful! And those details are just magnificent!
Wow! You did such an amazing job with this! The details are lovely :)
I love pretty much everything about this. Those sculpted busts are especially impressive.
Thank you!
Just a masterpiece. Awesome !
such talent.. great job
Wow I am so impressed, can't wait to buy some and begin to create.!
That is stunning

JR Martinez Thank you!!!!
Holy cow, this is amazing.
thank you!
Wtf that's incredible
Such a great tutorial - I watched all the way thru despite not caring at all for the "My little Pony" horse imagery as opposed to true to life...little too juvenile for my own taste, but thanks all the same for the great ideas generated - I never knew this could be done.
well done!
Cosplay Dreamiverse thank you!
WOOW~ 👍 👍
How beautiful ~👏 👏
Can’t wait to play with my warbler I’m still nervous and trying to research before I use it can I ask why you prefer two layers is it just for sandwiching purposes but I seen you did that with the bust as well
Wow you have such amazing talent 😱
Thank you!
Pretzl Cosplay how big were the acrylic domes? We have about the same size breasts and I was wondering so I know what size to get for my Gandondorf cosplay
Leslie Hurte Hi Leslie! I used 14 cm diameter spheres :) Oooh Ganandorf!! That's so cool!
Pretzl Cosplay thank you so much! :D I just ordered my worbla an hour or so ago and is shopping for cosplay supplies right now. That was such a big help :D thank you again and yea my boyfriend is gonna be a male Zelda lol 😄
Leslie Hurte Ooh so cool!!! And have fun and good luck with crafting!!!
how much worbla and craft foam did you use for this? do you know where the cheapest place to buy black worbla is? also can i stick flexible plastic mirrored sheets on top for a chrome look? if so is there a certain glue you can recommend and any other mirrored material you think could work better? thanks!
Amazing work!
Love that!
Can you tell me what's the black matter that you're using with the thermoformer?
Exta flip Black worbla
Can i use a resin mold to make détails with the worbla or Is foam clay better ?
okay, first: This is amazing. YOU are amazing!
Aand second: What is this blue stuff you use?
Sumaru Necumi Thank you! That is just craftfoam (2mm) :)
Hi!! your craft are very impressive!! I'm new at cosplay, but this material sounds good.
How resistant is after is cooled down? and don´t lose form again with the heat of your body or sun??? Can i put eva foam inside or is better other material? sorry for so many questions.
Thank you! It's really sturdy when it is cooled down. It can become soft again when it is exposed to heat. So better not leave it in the car on hot summer days because it will become soft again! I use craftfoam (wich is just a really thin 2mm evafoam) so evafoam is perfect to use! I hope I could help a bit :)
What material would you use if you wanted to attach shoulder straps?
Good shit; nuff said.
What's the purple mat you're working on? Is it heat resistant to protect the table?
those are two silicone baking mats.
I want to work with worbla, but its so damn expecive, at least where I live.
But you have amazing skills at this!
It's not cheap indeed, but the material is very durable and you can use all the scraps too! Thank you!
Ronnlund you can practice with craft foam maybe!
Dominique Devries yes, I allready work with craft foam, its totaly ok to work with but worbla opens up more possibilitys=) Will try to buy some when i have saved up some money
Pretzl Cosplay yeah, I like that part indeed, that it can be reworked!
I'm trying to find a good video for shoulder armor
Im totally new with making cosplay, is that blue craft foam you are using in between the black worbla? Is that to make it stronger?
Yes, that's craftfoam. With foam inbetween the Worbla is easier to shape neatly and the result will be more durable.
At what temperature you use your heat gun? How long do you heat up the worbla? *since it's speed up I can't get a good idea*
Thank you very for this tutorial, is really helpful and it looks amazing ♥
I use the heatgun at 330 degrees (Celsius) and how long it takes depends on the size of the Worbla piece. I just make sure it gets soft enough to work with 😉
What can I use as heat-resistant heat gun workstation?
Que material usas?
What is the pink placemat called? Did you use it to prevent the table from being damaged?
Lucia Chavez It's silicone baking mats :) Yes! I use them to protect my table against the heat.
Do you still have to use a primer after using the black worbla? Is it still course?
It´s up to you if you use a primer or not, but I feel like the primer provides a better surface for the paint to hold on to. So I would prefer to use it on all projects. As for the smoothness of the material, it depends on your goals of course. It´s not like ´mirror smooth´ but it is pretty smooth. So it really depends on the final look you are going for :)
where did you buy your craft foam for the sandwiching?
I buy it at www.minque.nl . But every craftstore has it ;)
So is that your everyday vaseline you're putting on the acrylic spheres? I tried beeswax yesterday and that didn't go to well.
Yes! Just the normal vaseline.
+Pretzl Cosplay Okay cool. I'll try that. Thanks so much!
I have a newbie question. Why cover the piece of foam with worbla instead of just using the foam piece and sealing it with plasti dip?
For this breastplate, I wanted to make lots and lots of details by sculpting with Worbla. Worbla sticks to itself once it's heated up, so I needed a Worbla base too. Of course you can also make a breastplate just with foam :) There's no problem with that at all! I just love to work with the Worbla because I can sculpt so many details with it.
@@PretzlCosplay ok so that leads me to the second question. Worbla doesnt stick to EVA when heated up?
@@thebeybladearmory Well, it can stick a little bit, but not enough to stay on the piece. Worbla will be fully hard when it's cooled down and foam stays flexible. So it won't adhere. If you want to add Worbla details to foam, you will have to sculpt the details while the Worbla is hot, then let it cool and use superglue to fix it to the foam. That's what I did with my Leafeon arm armour pieces. instagram.com/p/BngafeRCn3j/ (The green gem with the Worbla gold edge)
+Anouk De Wit Dankjewel :D Die is 14 cm doorsnee :)
¿Que material es?
On what surface do you use the heat gun?
I'm not sure what you mean exactly so I will give two answers ^^ The black surface is a thermoplastic called "Worbla's black art". You can use it to make all kinds of cool projects! The surface on my table is a silicone (baking) mat to protect my wooden table against the heat :) I hope this answered your question 😁
What kind of substance you used to isolate the plastic ball from the worbla?
Susan Sparkle Just vaseline :)
Pretzl Cosplay thanks :-)
q hermoso
So I also come from the Netherlands but I am never able to find those plastic spheres people make their boob cups with. Where did you get yours???
Is it possible to make this from EVA foam instead of worbla?
I'm not skilled with working with EVA foam so I can't give the best advice. You could make the base shape of the breastplate with foam but I think that making the details would be really difficult.
okay thank you!
What is material?
Pretzl Cosplay, what is the material used in the armor?
Luciano Lemes Garcia craftfoam and Worbla
Pretzl Cosplay Can I ask you the dimensions of the materials?
So the Worbla adheres to itself pretty well?
Kaitlin Grey yes! There is adhesive in the material and when you heat it up it sticks to itself. Kind of like clay!
Awesome, thanks!
where did you find the acrylic sphere?
Just at a craftstore!
if you've got a bigger bust you can buy them off ebay pretty cheap
Que materiales son ?
How do you put it on and make sure it stays in place?
It sticks to it's self :3!
I added elastic straps and snap buckles so I can wear it as a bra! It's actually quite comfortable that way :)
how can you wear this? I want to make a breastplate for myself but I have no idea how to make straps on it
I attach D-rings and sew straps on them.
I was thinking 🤔 that's Good, then that's Impressive, until you made the horses then it changed to very impressive 🙂
ahhh thank you!!!
COMO SE LLAMA ESE MATERIAL MOLDEABLE?
Worbla.
👍👍👍
there's no sound?
Yes I didn't know how to add sound that was OK for UA-cam in that time. Now I know there is royalty free music you can download. I don't know if I can still add music to my old video? Do you know?
yes you can, I have
+lookylookhere71 but how?
