engine was removed, frame could have been rusted out completely, shocks worn, tires with no tread, we dont really know why its in there, but they have their reasons.

@Aluminum Oxide - Engine or not! That was an old “cafè racer”! Those cafè racers go for A LOT of money here in Los Angeles... there are TONS of shops and parts. Once restored... it’ll resale for lots of ‘mula’$$$

I have to confess to having watched probably dozens of these videos, and I'm always struck by one thing-not once have I ever seen anyone think to place a receptacle of some kind under the machine to catch all the shredded material. Not once. Am I crazy?

Depending on the speed, it’ll be either quick and painful or still relatively quick and painful.
I’m betting under 30 seconds on higher speeds, still less than a minute on lower speeds.

weapons from waste. the metal makes for good shrapnel filler. throwing wood and paper makes fast burnables for winter etc. they should have one these in each of those hills dump areas where a voiceover guy would ask "and where does it go?" would be a satisfying task for newbies/volunteers to separate and crush certain items at a time and ship the shreds to a place where it's needed. >>especially in these 'difficult to get people back to work' times.
