- Pro-Palestinian protests continued at Columbia University for the sixth day. A tent encampment that police previously removed, making more than 100 arrests, is once again up on the campus. CBS New York's Elijah Westbrook reports.

Columbia U is private property isn't it? If so, does this mean the BOT or whomever has caretaker authority has approved of the on campus "encampment"? If they have not, why have they allowed it to persist as long as it has?
All I can day is that IMHO, there is honoring and protecting legitimate and legal 1A rights, and then there is enabling something that is fundamentally opposed to our entire Constitution which masquerades as 1A.
I once beleived the following are obvious "no brainers" that could only escape the very few among us that make very little use of said brain......apparently the numbers are shockingly larger than I ever thought possible.
Our 1A right to protest and speech does not permit infringing on every/any rights of another. It does not permit us to extortion, does not permit us to commit crimes, does not permit us to intimidate and harass, does not permit us to thoroughly ignore law rnforcements attempt to remove disruption to the general public, does not permit us to commandeer or vandalize/destroy nor occupy private property etc....etc.....
Get a damn permit if needed, go gather en masse at an open field or beach, contact media outlets to cover the event.
