Thank you so much for the video. I am heading to Sydney in 2 months' time. Your video has eased a lot of my anxieties as I am travelling alone 😍 I do have one question though.... How do I refund the balance monies in the Opal card at the end of my trip? 😁
It would be thru bank refund and should an existing acount in australia and it may take time to refund. So better yet reload only a small amount one at a time. Thank you Koh and safe travel always!
It is indeed a very exciting time when you are going to land in Australia for the first time. So your visa has been approved, you have booked your flights, you have boarded the plane to Australia but what happens when you land in Australia? What are the things you should be mindful of when coming to Australia for the very first time as a TOURIST? Please comment down below, subscribe and a thumbs up will surely fill my heart. Thank you mga Ka Tim-mates!
Brother, I am from Bangladesh. Thank you for your video which is so detailed. You described every necessary information that one requires while entering australia. Simply outstanding 🙂
Very useful & full information. The tip about using a bus from airport to Mascot is a real money saver! Another thing it is easier just not to bring any food into Australia especially fruits. What you are allowed to bring in gets complicated so take no food at all. At arrivals, before the passport machines, they have bins where people can dump any food such as bananas etc. Well, they have those bins at Brisbane so I assume Sydney will be the same.
If in doubt do not bring. Australia is very strict on food that are being brought in. better be safe than be penalized if you wont declare them ahead of time. Have a safe trip!
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been looking for the arrival’s formations at the airport for many weeks on UA-cam and I finally found your video with all the process to enter Australia (immigration, custom, luggage…)My departure is in 3 weeks and after a trip of over 24 hours to arrive to Sydney all by myself, I feel more confortable with all those precious informations 👍
thanks much Kabayan sa tip kung pano makakatipid sa fare from Airport to Central - take bus from Airport to Mascot Station then train to Central. Chineck ko yung ibang vlog, halos 15 dollars din ang tipid! 😎
Thank you for this informative video. I missed the part about traveling with large luggage on the train. Is it allowed? If so, is there a separate compartment on the train for it? Thanks
Hello Tony. The train compartments are wide and spacious. As long as you can carry your baggage, they can be accommodated. Just be aware of rush hours where number of passengers will be the problem. Happy and safe trip!
Thank you Ceciel. At Sydney Airport, you can find various transportation options, including buses to Canberra. The airport has a designated coach terminal where you can inquire about and purchase tickets for buses heading to Canberra. Look for information desks or signage to guide you to the relevant transportation services.
Thank You sir ..Very helpful . If we bring money more than 10 k means we need to declare it? Than when we arrived the custom they will check the money ? For an opal card ,any expiration ?
An Opal Card will expire: a) in the case of a reloadable Opal Card - 9 years; or b) in the case of a Free Opal Card - 5 years, after the date it is initialised (which will be earlier than the date you received or first used the Opal Card) (Planned Expiry). Thanks again Randy!
Can i carry prescribed medicines or not ? Do I have to mention this in the card ? I am carrying packed noodles, biscuits for my personal use. Do I have to mention this in the card?
Most country don’t ask you to declare prescribed personal meds unless classified as controlled drugs. This goes with foods. Fruits and fresh agricultural products need to be declared.
Hello sir Back, for a 4-day stay, getting an Opal card is often worth it for the convenience and potential cost savings, especially if you plan to use public transport multiple times each day.It can be quicker and easier than buying individual tickets for each journey. Opal card fares are generally cheaper than single ticket prices. Additionally, Opal cards have daily and weekly fare caps, which can lead to savings if you use public transport frequently. For instance, there is a daily cap on weekdays and an even lower cap on weekends and public holidays. so kung matapat ka dito, it's orth the savings. The only thing is pag nag top up ka (load) in excess of what you need, it will not be refundable. Your credit card naman comes more handy especially kung selected lang transport mo. But if you plan to go arround and visit multiple places in a day, opal may be good for you. pero yung credit card, pwede mo naman i swipe lang ng i swipe and if you register and will ony use one card, you can avail of the cap. Pag somobra na dun sa cap, parang no need to pay the excess. About the SIM, yes it is advisable specially if you depend on the net for communication. Walang free public wi fi. Meron lang sa hotel mo. But if you are outside and you need constant comunication, google maps , social media, it is advisable. meron naman good for few days and top up ka na lang if you need more. Ingat po and have a happy trip!
@@timyongmdthanks so much for responding, do I still need to get Opal card for just a day trip? Also do you have an idea how much it will cost me to and from the airport via train?
@@avillanuevathm The best way to get from Sydney Airport (SYD) to Darling Harbour if travelling alone is to train which takes 17 min and costs $20 - $28. If you plan to stay for just a day, you may not buy an opal. you can use directly your credit card.
If travelling out of major cities Telstra often has better coverage in rural areas. You can check coverage maps online before departing if this will be important to you.
Hello and thank you for dropping by. With an Adult Opal card you can travel as much as you want on metro, train, bus, ferry and light rail services within the Opal network and you never pay more than $16.80 a day, $50 a week or $8.40 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Safe travel!
