Amazing how long Viruses have been valued and viable. Just picked up a KB. What an amazing machine. 25 years old now, so I opened it up and replaced some worn knobs, cleaned it, and replaced the LCD display with a red OLED. The KB 61 in addition to having a kickass Virus B, has arguably the best keybed in the industry, the Fatar TP/8s so it makes the perfect master keyboard.
It really is a great synth. And affordable like you said. I've had mine for a couple years now and have no plans of parting with it. I've culled several other synths in favor of this.
aye, i did also really like the Ti but at double the price just couldn't justify keeping it. the only other keeper in my collection whose appeal has lasted years is the K-Station...underrated and very cheap to buy. currently enjoying the DeepMind 12 which has the look of a long-term keeper too...time will tell.
hi panzi, i never use multi-timbral or multi-patch mode in synths if that's what you mean. all you hear are single patch-plays: no editing, no sequencing, no using other sounds, no external processing...just the synth, the keyboard, one patch and two hands.

you've just reminded me why I love my kb so much, bro!!!
Just got one off EBay....can't wait to get German
Are these pads running in multi mode? I mean do they consist out of multiple sounds from single mode?
