Over-shoulder meltdowns via Cyrille Humen. A fun over and under meltdown combo that seemed to naturally follow.
    Turning with 4-point pulse weaves.
Static spin VS Longarm hybrids in split-same. Then combo'd with crosser extensions, 4x4 fountain extension tracing, and crossers. Props to PaperDoll for reminding me of this concept, in one of his recent fire spinning videos.
Hitting Stalls in Yuta's box with antispin rather than inspin. A variety of fun stalls. Stall handle switching.
    Tosses & Contact poi.
Sneak peak at sloppy split-same weave static vs longarm antispin. :-/
Music: Unreleased track by my brother - "Override"

You know Jon, I have always been inspired by you and you have always been a great spinner but someting in you is shifting and you are really finding your own place, your own poi, uniqueness amongst the masses.

I got it in 2009 from a vendor at Fusion Festival near Berlin Germany. It finally wore out, but it was totally sweet!

@Daavisonfire I got them from Andy Hersee at Elements of Flow, Up in Cambridge in the UK. I think a fried of his makes them.

@TheAmazingBaz Yeah, works nice with "archer weaves", plus arm and body tracing. Very "fencer's stance" type stuff... possibly fun material for a poi combat sort of choreo, ala Fist of Legend. You know take out the blind folds cuz of the wind, and do some blind partner poi. >_^

@AlienJon Big 5 is a sporting goods store here in California. I tried looking for those balls on their website but couldn't find anything. They feel like they weigh around 2-3 ounces.

@dirtyyydave My nano-Tech Blog isn't just meant to show case totally new "cutting edge" ideas, but also remind people or show them things they may have missed. Not everything is new to everyone, and some people miss things when they 1st show up in the community. Poi concepts are inherent in our shared universe: They are discovered, not invented.
I try to show what I've been focusing on lately, some of it review, some new-to-me variations, some new-to-me novel ideas. =)

@thespidersintention I use leather-walled sand-filled juggling thuds. What is Big 5? Do they have a website listing these stress balls you are using? Is there a link that lists their weight?

What exactly do you use inside your poi? I use those stress relief balls from Big 5 and they feel a bit too heavy now as when I try to do things like meltdowns, they gain too much momentum when I spin around. Anything you recommend?

@Daavisonfire I found a pair of poi that look just like those on fairywings.de but to get them and then pay shipping to the united states it comes out to be around 92 US dollars because they are 64.75 euros with shipping I assume they are made by the same person if not they look really similar I think 92 bucks is too much for a set of sock poi I would buy them if they were on HOP for cheaper
