He could have, as the old Nike saying goes, JUST DO IT. Kind of self-centered ain't it
100% his dad wants it more than he wants it for himself. A tale as old as time. The only thing “interesting” about this is that LeBron cajoled the nba into letting this shit happen
@@Mike-hn4uu Yea. And, Bronny took the spot of a player more deserving and more talented than him. Talk about nepotisim. Its not Bronny's fault though. He is just a young kid caught in the middle of a bad situation.
Not to mention that the kid he took the spot from, probably lost the only chance he had to the NBA. Always cringe to see people defend Bronny as if he has NBA potential. Kid was getting slapped in College Basketball, doesn't take a basketball mind to see zero potential.
What's effed up is that another player better than him didn't make the team because Bronnie was given his spot. I feel bad for him. I hope things work out for him. People forget that these kids have a lot of pressure on them and a lot of life to live after they're done playing sports. @@desordenpublico It's pretty evident he wasn't gonna develop into NBA material. He could have stayed in College for the entire eligibility but let's be honest, he just doesn't have the potential to be a good NBA player. If anything, leaving early probably protected him from being exposed on College level competition. One year averaging 5 points in 20 minutes is better than 4 years averaging the same numbers. Let's be honest, he was never gonna improve and he'll never improve in the NBA as well. Kid just doesn't have it. Anyone can see that.
@@desordenpublico let him play for a good progam? bro can barley impact the game for a bad program what make you think he's getting playing time on a good one? why would duke play him if he was barley playable at bad usc?
Hell not even elite stats to show he's a PG with apg or a defender with rebounds, blocks, and steals. The kid gets triple singles. Lebron only cared about himself and the father son duo rather than putting this young man in the spotlight for the whole world to see that he can't play. All these other fathers that are former athletes are doing it right and letting people see their sons shine in high school and college and building up the anticipation of fans waiting to see them go pro.
Hold on. Why wouldn't the media talk about it? But they never "hyped" him up as you say. Not one person in the media ever hyped up Bronny because their is nothing to hype up with his skill set. This is LeBron James we're talking about who plays for the Lakers! Now they draft his son on the team for a father son duo? Damn right the media is going to talk about it! The NBA and the media go hand in hand. The NBA is as popular as it is because of the media, not in spite of the media. Bronnys situation has absolutely nothing to do with the media, but everything to do with LeBron. And let's not be sad for Bronny because he's got the name and he's got the money.
The blame IMHO goes to the Lakers front office. They chose to draft and select Bronny which is their choice to please LBJ. The Lakers even chose to make Bronny an instant millionaire.
Bronny will grow to have a deep resentment of his father. Forcing him to the NBA for a selfish photo op just to immediately get exiled to the G League when he could have been at USC living life and developing his game. It's disgraceful what they did to this kid.
Bronny won’t say anything bad about him until he’s dead. He still needs his dad to pay his bills. That 8 mill isn’t gonna cover the life bronny wants to live

There might be some criticism to be shared. But being young, maybe immature and offered an opportunity to play in the NBA not to mention a $😅4 million contract. Are you sure you would refuse?
Why are people still acting like LeBron is a good dad? His son gets into heart issues, and instead of helping his son take it slow and ease into a higher intensive environment like the NBA by staying longer in college and making sure he's healthy, he tells him to enter the draft for selfish reasons. He not only has him enter the draft early, despite his heart issues, and the fact he was not ready according to every single critic, he forced the NBA teams to not draft him by threats so he can play with his son in LA whether or not that was the right team for him. He also didn't care if his son would be ok still being babied at a professional stage in his career by being side by side with his dad where he can't be himself because he is always trying to act proper in front of his dad. All because LeBron wanted to make a new record... I'm sorry, but this spells out horrible dad Fathers go out of their way to not be close to their son in this environment. If a dad is a teacher or coach in a school, they will send their son to a different school or have them take different classes. LeBron said nah, I'm gonna make my son be the most uncomfortable he can be and potentially ruin his career and risk his health for a personal record
He announces it so he can “focus on the playoffs” but this year he is doing it at the beginning of the season. Crazy from a dude who said he is “more than an athlete” and will “never shut up and dribble”
Quiet is not LBJ's style. Hence the reason for all the negativity he has gotten throughout his career. He will loudly proclaim something that will blow up in his face and everyone reminds him of it.

The issue with LeBron is I think he didn't understand that simply being in Bronny's life already made him one million times the father his own father was and he didn't need to do anything more. I think he overreached and thought "as a kid, what would've been cool for my dad to do for me" instead of understanding that he'd already done enough and that making the best decision for Bronny is what was paramount
Is there a particular reason you constantly refer to bronnie James as a "kid" when he is the same age (20) as Wemby, who is leading San Antonio. Are you trying to placate lebron? Bronnie brick James has been given the most professional preparation and opportunity for basketball his entire life. Bronnie averaged 4 points per game at usc. He is complicit in all of this. The envy and jealousy never stops. I’ve seen numerous players in the league who couldn’t play very good at the beginning of their careers but they got better with some time and patience. You are not paying his salary but you are too busy hating on Bronny and LBJ to care about your own financial situation. Real winners in life don’t have time to hate on others💜
Dont dare say he had the best intentions! Savannah said she wants him to be happy, bron said, he's going to add to my legacy! Of course he had the highest hopes for him, but it doesn't take the narcissism away from it. He was putting his son above other players and his teammates when he said he could play for the Lakers! He constantly says things like "we need to get vack on defence " when hes the one consistently not getting back across half court! Even leaving social media is a selfish move because he's now letting down his own fans because he cant handle seeing it. These media personnel aren't going to stop because Lebron is off social media, and its still going to be all over his tv, so what is he achieving, other than creating more of a reason for people to say hes soft for running from criticism? the worst nightmare for lebron fan is JJ being the coach and his decision to bench dlo. now all the fangirls, pat bev, gilbert arena, draymond green, shannon sharpe, stephen a smith cant have darvin ham and dlo as scapegoat anymore 😂
I’m not convinced Bronny is working hard enough, on to of not being talented enough or skilled/developed enough to succeed in the G-League, let alone the NBA. Everything SAS said about his progression makes it look like he has earned almost none of his personal acclaim. So, why say he still has a chance to make it in the NBA? He’s not gonna get better playing against better talent, is he? He’s only gotten worse with each level ascended.
Lebron is top ten not top 2. Lebron needs a superteam or pandemic to win titles. Jokic has a title and multiple MVP's without a superteam. Lebron needs all the help it can get
He’s not a kid and he’s getting paid to play. 8 mil to average 2 points! Come on Stephen!
This a bad take SAS, you are right in respect to Lebron talking Bronny up before draft & heart condition etc but creating a narrative because Lebron wants a break from social media because of his son is a poor take & frankly a Skip Bayless move... you have no idea whats happening in Lebron's life or Bronny's or the James family.
You defended the media during the week on your show on ESPN but you have literally created a speculative headline without knowing any factual information.
Takes like this are what is wrong with all of MEDIA, if you want a definitive answer then reach out to Lebron & his team directly. if not them respectfully STFU...
When Lavar ball did it yall called him toxic and the worst sports parent ever for 2-3 years straight. At least his sons could PLAY!
Thank you SAS.
Let's be honest. No team was willing to waste a draft pick on Bronny.
LeBron is NOT top 2. Don’t disrespect other greats like Magic, Bird, Kobe, Duncan etc. Lebron maybe top 20 and that being kind.
Ive talked/seen a lot of ranking by fans. And Lebron is either the top of the list or not even in the top 5. That should tell you something lol.
Lebron's stats are better than every player you listed. You know nothing about basketball. Only an ignorant casual fan would say he's not even top 20.
@@Jonathan-pp3du no they’re not stop talking about long Jeopardy numbers that mean nothing you talk about what they averaged in their career per game
@@detectivemarkseven who do you ask a bunch of 12-year-olds that haven’t seen anybody play? He’s not a top 10 player who literally stacked the deck and still don’t have a winning record in the finals overrated.
@@Hunt9-qb1if you are in the [not_even_in_the_top_5] group then
This was just a ploy by Bron and Adam Silver. They thought the whole Father-Son thing would be good for business and entertainment. However it quickly ended before it even began
Bronny James is NOT an NBA talent period. And I don't care how much work he puts in he doesn't have the talent, he just doesn't.
Think about this.....he wasn't 1st team All-Conference in High School he was 2nd team. How does a player make the McDonalds All American team but was 2nd team in his HS Conference??? And then that dumbazz Jon Givony from ESPN had him as the 10th ranked draft prospect....are you freaking kidding me. It's all about ESPN, NBA and LeBron wanting to make money on this kids back.....imo
Crazy
The envy and jealousy never stops. I’ve seen numerous players in the league who couldn’t play very good at the beginning of their careers but they got better with some time and patience. If Bronny’s development is not bothering Jeanie Buss, why do the rest of you all care. You are not paying his salary but you are too busy hating on Bronny and LBJ to care about your own financial situation. Real winners in life don’t have time to hate on others💜
And I quote: "Man Bronny definitely better than some of these cats I've been watching on league pass today. Shit lightweight hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣"
Be a man and stand on your beliefs and mistakes!
LeBron talked too much. He really put his foot in his mouth saying his son was better than some of the guys in the league. I knew it would come back to haunt him.
Its basically what LaVar Ball said about his boys.
@@cupchamp5Lavar’s sons can actually
Hoop though
Born raised in LA. Big fan my whole life. Lebron ruined the Lakers. Wish he would have stayed away. I feel he just wanted to be in Hollywood etc…
Since the draft I haven’t even wanted to watch. He hurt the franchise and they’re not the Same Lakers. His son may not have what it takes. Let’s be real. He has all what he needs to be the best and he just doesn’t got it in him. Maybe he’s not hungry but to ruin the reputation of a classic franchise is embarrassing
Bronny gotta leave la...
*the league
The dad helped his son to this point !!! Now it is for bronny jnr to carry himself over ... The mental pressure on this young man is tremendous and it will have a negative impact on his life if he won't even make it half way up there.. should've let him play more yr in college..it's dad's fault
Where is this energy for Gabe Vincent and Jalen Hood?
