We have Judy to thank for incorporating the jump splits into the DCC pregame routine. She was hired as the Asst Choreographer in '89 and became Head Choreographer in '91. Within a year of taking charge, Judy had the girls doing the jump splits and the rest is DCC history!
Judy and Kelly best coaches ever. When I coached dance and competitive cheer. I always looked up to them and have learned so much just from watching them on TV.
They truly are. I auditioned for UCA in 2005 I felt back handed by how unprepared I was. I wish I began watching this show earlier because I didn't you could go back and fight. It's stunning to see them fight for what they want. And earn it!!

It prob would have been better for them to slowly work their way into splits on the wall or mirror. When I was a Prancer, for my high school dance team and we did our kick line. Our dance teacher made sure our splits were perfect on the floor. Then, we would practice over extending our splits. This would be with a chair or a rolled up mat. You can injure yourself and give yourself shin splints if you aren’t careful and the flexibility in some of these girls isn’t there yet. I know this is a camp and they don’t have a lot of time to practice these things but if you don’t want to injure yourself you have to take these things into consideration. I mean that’s what we used to do and our kick line was compared to that of the Kilgore Rangerettes.
I love watching DCC and would've loved to try out but unfortunately I'm too short! Much respect for these athletic ladies! I wish ya'll got paid more considering the players make millions and Jerry Jones can easily afford it. The ladies are athletes too plus all the appearances they make would be uber expensive! GO DCC!

We did jump splits on the drill team back in the 90’s. We would have jump split competition every year in camp. Just have to make sure you keep your split straight and land and don’t try to slide then you could hurt yourself. And yes it was a TX school. Many girls were scared of it too
They always will I bet. She was a beautiful girl but her time was up. I’m glad she got to have a spot don’t get me wrong but that year she did make into training camp there were so many other girls more qualified 😭

You know....I'm glad they have a new group of really talented girls.....but now these new girls, even though they're great, I just realized they're not relatable. I think I now rather have Meredith, Brennan, and Shannon back because I could relate to them more than these "too perfect" kinda girls.

Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders is so needed in a EA John Madden Football could bring a 9/10 and bringing back John Madden commentary back in some way 10/10 (not saying the commentary is bad, probably best commentary in that game) its how it’s sold and the tea in that game. EA Says it’s a football game however no cheerleaders and no Madden. Is missing two things. To make it a perfection Madden football game 10/10. Keep up the good work. One football game that stays at a 8/10 and can not break to a 10/10
That was great the first time I saw Judy and Kelly analyzing the kickline and certain specifics which ?Meredith pointed out not just yes ma'am but going from a flat bending over too far and not being able to get up why she made her mistake and she understood it as Kelly pointed out but you know when the team does the kick line without holding each other that looks absolutely fabulous and they go down the line bending very quickly with your pom-poms they look like flowers then they come back up and perform the jump split to the jump split ,without holding each other. Next time. Patty Bell. Not the one who sing. (My favorite star) the one with wing❤🎉

Hello Older Ladies! Why NOT have a Pro Cheerleader / Trainer / Demonstrator go IN FRONT of all the lines of new cheerleaders as they go to practice for the first time, second time on the Field?? You need to have a PHYSICAL example on the field to exemplify the exact image of perfection that you command. Most of them have to get " A MIRACLEOULOUS VISION BY THE POWER OF GOD ABOVE" TO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU TWO LADIES ARE COMMADING!!! Half of the time, I can not even understand what you are talking about. You need a PRO to be an example in front of the girls on the field for the first few days - before you throw them out and on to the street. Don't you think y'all that is fair? Y'all?

I think one-either Kelli or Judy-said unless you’re from Texas it’s not likely you’ve done jump splits (or you’re a gymnast somewhere in your background); more likely the ladies have done splits, but landed on their feet.
Two of my girls were very high-level gymnasts. If you want to spice up the jump split, have them do a switch leap and then hit the split position. Now that would be a sight.

Not every cheerleaders do jump splits but it’s not too uncommon so I would think more people would know it
