Seriously, clutches are made for this, what he's doing in this video won't generate enough heat to damage it. If clutches couldn't handle this, then people would be getting a new clutch every hill start.
@@Gobbbbbthis is true. I think the damage would come further down the drivetrain. My buddy bent his axle by sidestepping the clutch. Technically the slower you let the clutch out, the quicker it wears as it continues to slip and heat up until you either fully depress or release it. This is of course scales with rpm so newer drivers who rev the car up to 4K and then barely let out the clutch in fear of stalling are really cooking that friction material.

i noticed that you “dumped” the clutch when you shifted to 2nd and to 3rd. whenever i try to do that the car jerks, how do i make it smooth like you? the only way i can make it smooth is if it let the clutch out and pause at the bite point

Don't do that, just take your foot mildly from clutch your car will starts to move. Then slowly take your foot completely. If you do like this in video make sure you are in a racing
You should try launching a little lower then 3 k and come up into the power band as you launch to avoid that jerking motion. You still get a clean and quick launch but you wont have that bad jerk anymore.

no that’s called dumping the clutch you need to do these things too launch your car Step 1: Put your car in 1st gear but don’t let the clutch out. Then pull up on your ebrake Step 2: While you still have your clutch pushed in slowly release it until it’s biting point and this will put pre loaded tension on the suspension and drivetrain. This step is crucial otherwise just dumping the clutch you’re gonna be break a lot of parts much quicker then if you were to do it properly. Step 3: Rev your car up to what you think is good for your specific vehicle then when you are ready you have to let down your ebrake and then right after that you wanna release the clutch this has to be fast then you’re going to want to rip that shifter into second and you’ll be gone

Your take off is wrong , you can send it and have a smooth fast launch, if your foot work was better. It’s not a release and push there’s a fine fast line you need to make. And I don’t go off the dial I go off what I feel

Depends on the car and the tranny. Some dogleg patterns R mode comes before 1st.

Terrible advice, you don't just drop the clutch, Feed it in let it slip a tiny bit. Less chance if breaking stuff and quicker

Apply More gas, it's because the engine and transmission are at different rpms in-between shifts and if you somewhat match them it's smooth.

You can also do brake loading with the handbrake. Makes for a good launch but the clutch will suffer a bit.

Bring the clutch to bite. Dumping it just burns the clutch and also adds some spin. Bring it to bite point. Won’t spin unless you do 7000rpm
